What’s This TV Show About?
A CBS political thriller, Madam Secretary stars Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Sara Ramirez, Željko Ivanek, Keith Carradine, Sebastian Arcelus, Patina Miller, Geoffrey Arend, Erich Bergen, Kathrine Herzer, Wallis Currie-Wood, and Evan Roe. The drama follows the shrewd, determined Elizabeth McCord (Leoni). As U.S. Secretary of State, she battles office politics, while driving diplomacy and negotiating global deals.
Elizabeth was once a CIA analyst, who exited that post for ethical reasons. She later returned to public life, at the request of President Conrad Dalton (Carradine). He values her apolitical leanings, knowledge of the Middle East, flair for languages, and unconventional thinking. Elizabeth is married to Henry (Daly), a former theology professor who is now an intelligence operative. Together, they’re bringing up three children, which can really test her diplomatic skills.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of Madam Secretary averaged a 0.56 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.41 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 9% and 12%, respectively. Find out how Madam Secretary stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

Other than T Leoni , the show has lost it’s appeal, and parrelling current events with a twist, it’s become a become a blender for PC propaganda, time to call it quits.
Madam Secretary takes today’s relevant news and highlights it with each episode. It’s an excellent example of what governments should be. The subtle comedy that springs up now and again is noticeable, but doesn’t distract the viewers from the main plot. Should this S05E20 be the last episode (as Elizabeth McCord will no longer be Secretary of State), I can only wish all the cast members a hearty congratulations and future success. Season 5 has been amazing… Bebe Neuwirth leaving was not detrimental in any way as someone else suggested.
Bebe Neuwirth leaving and Sara Ramirez gaining air time has been detrimental to the show.
Great actors , great story lines , better than all the reality shows . Please bring it back

Please renew Madam Secretary! It’s one of the few shows I look forward to every week, and shares the top of my must-watch list with NCIS. By the way, the others are on CBS as well, so you are airing quality shows. I would really hate to see Madam Secretary cut.
Yes! Madam Secretary must be renewed. Tea Leoni is brilliant and this character suits her perfectly. The rest of the cast is fantastic as well. With what is going on in the US and the world it would be a shame to not renew such a relevant show.

Renew Madam Secretary, it opens everyone’s eyes and the character depth and humanity, the plot relevance and how it shows governing decisions and policies are not black and white but have many shades of gray. I plan my evenings around Madam Secretary. Please renew.
I really hope they renew the show for a sixth season. Madam Secretary is the best series currently on television. It’s the only reason I even look at the rest of the CBS Sunday lineup.
