What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Madam Secretary stars Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, Zeljko Ivanek, Patina Miller, Erich Bergen, Kevin Rahm, and Wallis Currie Wood with Evan Roe, Clifton Davis, and José Zúñiga in recurring roles. As U.S. Secretary of State for five years, Elizabeth McCord (Leoni) battled office politics, while driving diplomacy and negotiating global deals. In the sixth and final season, Elizabeth now holds the highest office in the land with the help of her team. The members include chief of staff Russell Jackson (Ivanek); counselor to the president Mike Barnow (Rahm); press secretary Daisy Grant (Miller); and charming assistant Blake Moran (Bergen). As Elizabeth debates policy and battles opponents on Capitol Hill, that’s just a warm-up for when she’s back at the White House residence with her supportive husband, theology-professor-turned-First-Gentleman Henry (Daly), and their children. It’s there that “politics” and “compromise” take on a new meaning.
Season Six Ratings
The sixth season of Madam Secretary averaged a 0.43 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.25 million viewers. Compared to season five, that’s down by 23% and 21%, respectively. Find out how Madam Secretary stacks up against other CBS TV shows.

CBS renewed Madam Secretary for a sixth and final season so we already know there won’t be a seventh season. Still, if there’s enough interest in the final season, perhaps Elizabeth and company could return at some point? I’ll keep an eye on the ratings and update this page with breaking developments. We’re still heartbroken there won’t be another season. So heartbroken we just watched the last season again. Please give us just one more season!!
This is one of the best shows. The characters are fully thought out and authentic.

Please continue Madam Secretary, but as Madam President.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this program from the first episode.
It is incredibly refreshing to watch a cerebral show that also importantly focuses on ethics – which the world always needs more of.
The characters all work so well together, both the work based ones and the family. I always enjoy their dynamics, their interesting conversations, perspectives and how they intellectually, passionately and at times with humour, debate their points of view.

Madam Secretary needs to return. The situations on the show are very well written and mirrors many of the actual situations going on in the world. This series needs to continue. It’s important to us the dedicated viewer. Thank you.
