What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the CBS television network, Magnum PI stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill, Tim Kang, and Amy Hill. This reboot of the 1980s TV show follows Thomas Magnum (Hernandez), a decorated former Navy SEAL who repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. He lives in a guest cottage on Robin’s Nest, the luxurious estate where he works as a security consultant to supplement his P.I. business. The “majordomo” of the property is Juliet Higgins (Weeks), a beautiful and commanding disavowed MI:6 agent who keeps Magnum in line. When Magnum needs back-up on a job, he turns to his trusted buddies and fellow POW survivors, chopper pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin (Hill) and Orville “Rick” Wright (Knighton), a former Marine door-gunner who now runs a nightclub. Magnum frequently has run-ins with police detective Gordon Katsumoto (Kang) and the two are more alike than either cares to admit. Teuila “Kumu” Tuileta (Hill) is one of Magnum’s biggest fans and is also the unofficial “House Mom” and cultural curator of Robin’s Nest.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Magnum PI averaged a 0.65 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.66 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 27% in the demo and up by 11% in viewership. Find out how Magnum PI stacks up against other CBS TV shows.

Magnum must renew. As a long time fan of the original and a big fan of the reboot, the powers that be must remember that the original series wasn’t taken serious until season 4.
To be truly honest, to the heart I and friends watch very few of the shows on cbs, yet we do have favorites that we watch every Friday and Magnum PI is #1. I sincerely hope they will consider season three. We have enjoyed every episode, and as women we even got many husbands to watch. I believe that when you get an amazing reboot that women love then its time to run with it, we want season three. I hope the produces Peter Lenkov, Justin and CBS realize you have a very enthusiastic audience wh o love this show.
Sincerely looking forward to season 3 of Magnum PI, It’s getting great, really good writing. Love to be surprised but saw article about a special Feb 2020 where they have a case that takes them on a lovers only trip and they iron out some difficulties. I am going to say this , I really am hoping they will find a more meaningful part to their relationship. I really hope the new Magnum PI gets renewed. I love the actors and the storyline is great. I also loved the original Magnum PI and yes Tom Selleck is one of a kind and a fabulous actor and cannot be copied, but you need to look at this as a new show and allow the actors to do what they do best. Please renew this great show!

Absolutely love Magnum PI, especially now as part of the Big 3 on Friday nights! Folks in my office getting together at each other’s place to do Friday Night parties. Lots of fun to yap about the characters and their story lines (new and old – crossover here??). Please keep up the banter and tenderness between Jay and Perdita!!
