Matt LeBlanc is staying put on the Tiffany Network. CBS has renewed his Man with a Plan TV show for a third season. It seems Adam Burns has yet another year to “nail the job” on the home front.
A CBS sitcom, Man with a Plan stars LeBlanc as a contractor named Adam Burns. The cast also includes Liza Snyder, Kevin Nealon, Stacy Keach, Grace Kaufman, Matthew McCann, Hala Finley, and Matt Cook. When Adam’s wife, Andi (Snyder), returns to work, this old-school dad finds it challenging to up his home game with the kids. Meanwhile, he’s trying to run his business with his brother, Don (Nealon), and put up with bad advice from his father, Joe (Keach).
Man with a Plan: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of Man with a Plan is averaging a 0.98 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.79 million viewers. Compared to season one, right now, it is down by nearly 21% and 6%, respectively. Out of the 22 scripted CBS TV shows we’re tracking, it ranks 11th when sorted by its demo ratings, but sinks to the 18th spot in terms of average total viewership.
All told, today CBS cancelled two TV shows: Superior Donuts and Scorpion. The network also renewed five series: Criminal Minds (season 14); Man With a Plan (season three); Life in Pieces (season four); Instinct (season two); and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (season two).
UPDATE: CBS has cancelled Kevin Can Wait and has renewed Elementary for season seven.
Deadline has confirmed the Man with a Plan renewal.

I am so excited and looking forward to the 3rd season of Man with a Plan. I love the show, and I am a little older than the average demographics, just sayin’.

Our Family has been waiting for Man with a Plan to return. The cast is brilliant and the show is so funny . I feel it is one of the few comedies that CBS has left that is a keeper. Bringing in the in laws made it even more real and funny . We see some of our own family situations and how it can make you smile.

My husband and I really enjoyed Man With A Plan. Why is it all the smut, cussing, disgusting shows are renewed, but those that are comical, and teach a lesson, are always cancelled??
My husband and myself enjoy Man with a Plan. We are not your usual demographic. I am 70 and my husband is 80. Maybe you should start paying attention to your older viewers. Thanks for bringing it back!
