What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the ABC television network, Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD picks up with the organization no longer needing to operate in the shadows with the world presuming that Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) is dead. As a result, a new Director (Jason O’Mara) is named and Coulson is teamed with Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons) to track down and confirm the presence of Inhumans. The rest of the cast includes Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, John Hannah, and Gabriel Luna.
Season Four Ratings
The fourth season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD averaged a 0.74 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.35 million viewers. Compared to the third season, that’s down by 37% in the demo and down by 32% in viewership. Check out Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD’s performance against the other ABC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
The network surely had big expectations for Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD but the series has never been a hit and the ratings have fallen each season. The numbers for this ABC series have hit some new lows in 2017. The studio has enough episodes for syndication and a replacement Marvel series in the pipeline so it seems like they could let this one go. I don’t expect to see a fifth season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD but ABC may renew it because having it on the air supports the Marvel brand (which is also owned by Disney).

This is a great show, one that I really hope gets renewed. I really like the actors and the new Grant Ward that is in the Framework. Somehow keep him.
Please this series is so poorly written and acted and down right juvenile, it should be cancelled. It has earned it’s poor ratings.

I am praying for season 5 renewal… Literally!
Agents of S.H.I E.L.D. is having its best season yet. They are producing the most mind-blowing, cinematic-like VFX on TV. Moreover, it is the most diverse cast and has the most compelling storylines in all of Marvel TV. Not to mention, it remains the TV connection to the MCU (no matter how slight). ABC needs to RENEW AGENTS OF SHIELD and give it a better time slot. Period. If they don’t renew it, I refuse to watch Inhumans or any other ABC show. And ABC, I belong to your targeted demographic.
They have to renew this show, it’s getting better and better! Please don’t cancel it! It has a very diverce set of magnificent actors and plots that just blows you away! We need this show to continue!
I think if they can work in more disparaging remarks about FOX News, they can boost the ratings.
