What’s in store for Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD? ABC boss Channing Dungey recently discussed the future of the TV show, TVGuide reports.
Currently in its fifth season, the action-adventure drama follows Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his specialized team of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division). The cast also includes Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, and Elizabeth Henstridge.
At this year’s TCA winter press tour, Dungey said ABC is optimistic about Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD:
We are really excited about this fifth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I think it’s the strongest creative that we’ve had yet. And the fans seem to be really responding to it well. We made the move [to Friday] pretty much intact; our ratings are essentially the same as they were. Delayed viewing continues to be strong, so we’re feeling optimistic about that show.”
ABC has still not renewed the series for a sixth season, but Deadline reports producers are meeting with the network to pitch a new season soon.

Agents of shield this season is awesome,I love the show ,I’ve been watching it since the very beginning. I think that Abc should not cancel it ever cause it’s a great show.
Inhumans is the one that should be cancelled the show sucks .
This was the lousiest season for this show. Dark, dingy and plodding story. Could have been filmed in my garage with a red and white 60 watt light bulb. Bad morph for what was a fun filled,dramatic show, great actors. Get back to what made it tick.

I love Marvel’s Agents of Shield. They have a fantastic cast, with wonderful stories. Marvel stories are huge right now, like a fast moving train. Don’t let Marvel’s Agents of Shield fall off this train. I would miss this show terrribly. There would be millions of people that would miss this show. I bet many viewers would go absolutely crazy if you canceled this show. It is one of my top 5 programs. Please, please give it at least one more season. Give them a chance to plan for a fantastic send off.
Marvels Agents of Shield is my favorite TV show and I watch over 45 shows. Seriously you have to renew it for season 6 and beyond. I would watch multiple shows per week. The cast is phenomenal and I love the adventures of each season. Please please please keep AOS! Thank you

I hope ABC keep Marvels Agents of Shield on Friday night and I hope and I strongly recommend that Marvels Agents of Shield be renew for a sixth season on Friday night.I hope ABC do renew Marvels Agents for a sixth season on Friday night at 9:00 its my favorite show Friday Marvels rocks for me.

They have to and need to renew “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” for a 6th Season especially this Season 5 is phenomenal to see/watch on Friday night at 9:00pm! I love this ABC Network Television Series/Television Show ever since it debuted also I’ve been a very dedicated, devoted and loyal Fan to Marvel Cinematic Universe since day one of course I’m biased towards both DCEU plus the MCU!!! So the entire Castmates are so very awesome excellent great super fantastic very cool and are just magnificent spectacular and the Crews amazing I highly recommend Them to renew for Season 6!!!!!!
