WandaVision is headed to Disney+ sooner than previously reported. Disney+ revealed today on its Twitter that the series would arrive on the streaming platform in 2020. It was originally set to arrive in 2021.
Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are returning to their characters for the Disney+ series, and it is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame. There appears to be some travel involved though. Per Variety, the series is set during the 1950’s.
Olsen said the following about the new Disney+ series in a recent interview:
“We’re gonna go deep, we’re gonna have lots of surprises, and we’re gonna finally understand Wanda Maximoff as the Scarlet Witch.”
