What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, Midnight, Texas stars François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis, Peter Mensah, Sarah Ramos, and Yul Vázquez. Based on the book series of the same name, from True Blood author Charlaine Harris, the supernatural drama plays out in the remote Texas town of Midnight, where nothing is what it seems. There, only outsiders belong, while normality is just plain weird. It is the best haven for people who need to hide from the world at large. The townies come together to form a sort of chosen family. Together they fend off external pressures from nosy police officers, vicious biker gangs, and their own dark pasts.

Telly’s Take
Midnight, Texas was originally supposed to premiere in the mid-season, but in the end, the Peacock network held it for summer. What’s more — they only ordered ten episodes. While none of that adds up to anything definitive, it could indicate that they have less faith in the series. The ratings have not been very good so I suspect that the show will be cancelled. I really enjoy this series. Cancelling is absurd and I will feel robbed should this occur.
I read all three books in this series. Almost had a heart attack when I learned it would be a TV series. Watched every episode and made copious notes.
Imagine my distress when I learned it was ending. Yes, the series did capture almost everything in the books, but I want to know what happens next. I felt I lived in Midnight when I read the 3 books and when I watched the series. Unless that means I am seriously cracked, I MUST have more.
Please keep this show!! It is so different from everything else on tv!!!

Hope they renew for another season… the characters are all in their infancy, and have so much more to offer… we love it!!!
I had read the books this show is based on and always imagined the characters brought to life. I’d be very disappointed if NBC didn’t continue this series for many seasons. By the way, lots of my friends and family watch this show. However, we don’t fall in the 18-49 age group for viewers, as most of us are in our 60s, and we are crazy about this show!
I hope midnight, Texas gets renewed for at least 2 mire years. Exciting series and I loved it.
