NBC’s new Midnight, Texas TV show was originally supposed to premiere during the mid-season, but the Peacock Network decided to slate the ten-episode first season for summer. That’s typically not a good sign. Can the supernatural drama draw enough summertime viewers to score a second season, or will the series slip into obscurity? Will Midnight, Texas be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
Based on the book series of the same name, from True Blood author Charlaine Harris, Midnight, Texas stars François Arnaud, Dylan Bruce, Parisa Fitz-Henley, Arielle Kebbel, Jason Lewis, Peter Mensah, Sarah Ramos, and Yul Vázquez. The NBC TV series plays out in the remote Texas town of Midnight, where nothing is what it seems. There, only outsiders belong, while normality is just plain weird. It is the best haven for people who need to hide from the world at large. The townies come together to form a sort of chosen family. Together they fend off external pressures from nosy police officers, vicious biker gangs, and their own dark pasts.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
9/19 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Midnight, Texas TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season on NBC?

I really liked this show. I watch and record each episode. Please keep it for a another season. Don’t mess to Charlaine Harris’ story-line, she’s a great writer.
My husband and I both have thoroughly enjoyed watching this show, and we would love to see it renewed for another season!

PLEASE NBC…RENEW THIS SERIES! Every time a great series premieres, it gets cancel it. Allot of people are tired of the “run of the mill” programs that are put on TV (same boring plot, different show). FINALLY, there’s a show that people can actually get into and escape to another place (thanks to the actors/characters and plot). There are limitless possibilities and story lines to the show that hasn’t even been tapped into yet. BE SMART…RENEW!!!
Please do not cancel this show!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!
do not cancel this show. needs more seasons. love it
I loved every minute of the show and would love to continue on the journey with the show. Please bring it back for another season.
Please keep midnight Texas. So sick of reality shows and cops courts love affairs. Need a change. And really miss true blood too. Different is always good. Give it a second season. No one is home during the summer months. Give it a chance to be viewed by more people during a different season other than summer
Please renew this show!!!!!!
