Nash Bridges is coming back to the small screen with the potential of returning as a series. Don Johnson is returning as the title character, and he revealed more about the revival in an interview that will air on The Talk later this month. The original series aired for five seasons between 1996 and 2001 on CBS. The new series would air on USA Network.
Sharon Osbourne asked the actor if fans would see Cheech Marin appear on the series once again. He teased the actors return with a joke, per Deadline. He said the following:
“Oh yeah. The Cheech will be back. I think in this adaptation of Nash Bridges, he’s going to actually be selling weed. And the cops in San Francisco are actually going to be smoking it.”
He also revealed more about the series’ return. He revealed that the series is returning with a two-hour film at first. The film is being written at the moment, and it could launch a new series. About the future plan, he said, “Good Lord, I don’t know how I feel about that.”
An air date for the Nash Bridges film has not been set. Don Johnson’s interview with The Talk will air on November 26.
What do you think? Were you a fan of Nash Bridges? Will you watch the revival?
can not wait for it to come to the tv. loved the first one and gonna love the second one
I would love to see Nash Bridges return. I have saved a number of their old , original shows on my DVR, as I always loved the chemistry between them & love San Francisco as moved to San Francisco in 1970& have stayed in Bay Area ever since. I love seeing parts of the city as they drove around in the”Cuda”, even though it annoyed me that they used wrong streets in the filming. I never understood why to use street names that don’t go together or cross at any
