The cast and crews behind NCIS, SEAL Team, and NCIS: Los Angeles are getting an extension to their holiday breaks. These shows and others are delaying production by at least one week due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in Los Angles. Per Variety, these productions will resume on January 11.
Gabrielle Carteris, SAG-AFTRA president, also released a statement about the production delay in Los Angeles. She said the following, per Deadline:
“Most entertainment productions will remain on hiatus until the second or third week of January if not later. This means that the number of our member performers working on sets right now is reduced. Our safety protocols ensure appropriate precautions for the holiday hiatus period including additional time for testing prior to the resumption of production.”
At this time, mid-season return dates for NCIS and other shows on CBS have not been changed.

You have to figure that the studios had already had plans if they needed to delay resumption of production on shows.
In addition to first comment, SAFETY first for everyone especially with the unknown variables and what could be yet to come, hopefully brighter times…

I absolutely don’t mind waiting, it’s better than the shows being canceled. My fave is NCIS Los Angeles!!! Let’s keep everyone safe and we’ll in these different times!
I feel with the COVID-19 cases on the rise and the new strain creating a debilitating strain on medical personnel and hospitals, I concur with delaying filming of series (as late as March). I enjoy Blue Bloods, NCIS, NCIS-Los Angeles, SEAL Team and S.W.A.T. and look forward to their resuming filming in the future. I see no need to proceed or act with haste only to suffer consequences usually injurious or undesirable to those not deserving of them.
I personally enjoy all of the NCIS series and would hate to see any of canceled. I do not watch SWAT.
Hope all the cast crew is great, just do not cancel the ncis or seal team or any of your shows
I’m not thrilled with the reruns but totally understand for the safety of everyone involved that it is necessary to postpone productions. We all have to do whatever we can to fight this dang mess! Thanks! Look forward to the new shows when it’s safe!

Don’t think push January 19 original ncis so good not same style as it was 17 years ago first started long time ago things change being replace apart of show. Coronavirus pandemic sticks really badly awful.
No surprise! Safety is the priority!!!! I have family in the LA area, and worry constantly! 2020 went away but sadly the plague lingers on.

No way look forward this Sunday coming back new year new episode wait whole week why delayed it.
New episode will air. Its the production for whatever episode # they were planning to film on the 4th is being pushed back 1 week.
