According to the Alphabet Network, love is in the air. ABC has announced The Proposal TV show will premiere this summer, on a date TBD. The new dating reality TV series is even bringing a Bachelor-Nation totem with it, to ward off the cancellation jinx.

Fleiss is executive producing the new ABC TV show along with Martin Hilton, James Breen, and Jason Ehrlich. Learn more about The Proposal from this ABC press release.

FROM THE CREATOR OF ‘THE BACHELOR’ FRANCHISE,
SAY ‘YES’ TO ‘THE PROPOSAL’ THIS SUMMER,
AN ALL-NEW DATING SERIES ON ABCLove is in the air – and will soon hit the airwaves – when the all-new dating series, “The Proposal,” premieres this summer, on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand. Hosted by former NFL quarterback and Season 5 Bachelor Jesse Palmer, each one-hour episode will feature 10 eligible daters competing in four pageant-style rounds to win the heart of a mystery suitor or “suitress,” whose identity is concealed from them.
From “The Bachelor” creator Mike Fleiss, each hour of the 10-episode series will follow the male or female daters as they attempt to woo the mystery suitor with their words in a first impressions round; bare their souls in a beachwear round; answer the mystery suitor’s most pressing romantic questions; and strive to receive a seal of approval from the mystery suitor’s most trusted family member in the final round.
After each phase, the daters who fail to connect with the mystery suitor are whittled down, leading to the dramatic and highly anticipated reveal, when the two remaining daters finally meet the mystery suitor for the first time and present a romantic proposal of their choice. Will there be a marriage proposal that can’t be refused?
“The Proposal” is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television. Mike Fleiss, Martin Hilton, James Breen and Jason Ehrlich serve as executive producers.
What do you think? Do you like the sound of the The Proposal TV series? Do you plan to check it out, this summer on ABC?
Why don’t you make a show for real people. Almost seniors, widows, woman who really want a chance of finding a life again. Dating is hard for the young. What do you think us older people have a chance of finding someone when they’ve lost all hope of having love and a life again. Now that’s an emotional show.
I want to be on The Proposal!! How do I apply? I can’t find anything on it. I’m a 6 ft tall educated beauty with a lot to offer someone!! ABC you found me now!!
Degrading to both sexes, but especially to women. 10 women (mostly white and blond) compete in swimsuits and evening gowns for the proposal of a man who is hidden to them until the end of the show–when the man proposes to his final choice. Why not add a dowry of a flock of sheep?
How on earth do is single ladies go about applying to be on this show? Please let us know .
I love the show and would love to be on it. I actually would love to meet Sam from Monday 6/25 episode. Definitely breath taking interesting.
I want to meet Sam myself. A man that serious about his relationship with Jesus is not easy to find.
I have friend who’s 60 how can she get on show
Well I was wondering how to go about to be on the show and does it matter where u live
Watched the show. Why the swimsuit competition? Awkward . Also if they are engaged why doesn’t she have the ring on in any of the post show interviews?
I watched the first episode and found it delightful. Looking forward to future episodes. I fell in love with my husband in the first 15 minutes of meeting him but I had a visual. It will be interesting to see how many girls are put off by the man’s appearance if it’s down to the wire before they can get to see him.
Probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard and now seen. It was amusing until the ring and proposal skit How can you propose marriage to somebody that you’ve seen for one hour and expect a girl to take it who hasn’t seen you but for 10 minutes? It’s a ridiculous idea. Maybe you should just call it Blind Date and let them go on a date and see if they like each other or not.
60 the new 40 looking for love everlasting and that proposal broaden your scope ratings will go all the way up. Love comes in all ages.
How can I get on the show I am 60 goregous and looking for love everlasting. Every age needs love 60 is the new 40.
