What’s This TV Show About?
A Canadian drama which first ran on CBC in Canada and streamed on Hulu in the US, Pure stars Ryan Robbins, Alex Paxton-Beesley, Peter Outerbridge, A.J. Buckley, Gord Rand, Dylan Taylor, Rosie Perez, Jessica Clement, Dylan Everett, Aaron Hale, Lanette Ware, Cory Bowles, Felix Bieger, Patrick Garrow, Gary Levert, Joanne Miller, and Wendy Lyon. The WGN America series centers on Mennonite pastor, Noah Funk (Robbins). Noah must find a way to protect his family, remain true to his faith, carry on with his ministry, and run his dairy farm, all the while rooting a drug trafficking ring out of their cloistered community.
Season One Ratings
The first season of Pure on WGN America averaged a 0.04 rating in the 18-49 year-old demographic and 254,000 viewers. Compare its performance to that of other WGN America TV shows.
WGN America and Super Channel have renewed Pure for a second season which will debut May 28, 2019. Stay tuned for further updates.

Telly’s Take
While CBC and Hulu weren’t willing to renew Pure for season two, they’ve partnered with Super Channel and WGN America to produce a second season, which is slated to debut on the latter networks, later this year. In the meantime, WGNA is rerunning the first season to draw in new viewers. Although we already know we’re getting Pure, season two, I’ll keep an eye on this show’s Nielsen ratings and update this page with breaking developments. Great show! A refreshing look at a series. I said aloud. “This has the feeling a good book”. We will be disappointed if it doesn’t continue.
Knowing a number of Mennonite families in the Ohio sect. Each with variations of course. But like everything curious – you can’t deny the anticipation and unfolding of the tale. Definitely ‘ hope we can look forward to quality programming on HULU!
Wonderful show. Leaves all the questions a good show should: What’s right and wrong? Does doing the right thing when it goes against your faith make you righteous or a sinner? Can God forgive us if we can’t forgive ourselves? And just how far should a person go to save their family or themselves? Please renew this Hulu!!!

Excellent show and excellent actors. Why are you always cancelling a good show??? This show reminds me of Breaking Bad. I loved it, watched all 6 episodes. Needed more episodes was sooooooooo goooooooood!!!!
I totally agree with above comment. I was reminded of Breaking Bad (loved). I really enjoyed Pure and would love to see more. We need Season 2!!

Y is it every time CBC gets a good show thay cancel it just like Ice pilots nwt and that other airplane show can’t remember the name of it at the moment every time they get a good hit they cancel it God forbid they show something good and make money you idiots need a new management team someone with balls

I love the show. It’s hard to get my family to set down to watch a show but after the first episode they were hooked. We love it so please have a 2 season
