What’s This TV Show About?
A Showtime crime drama, Ray Donovan stars Liev Schreiber, Jon Voight, Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, and Devon Bagby. Susan Sarandon, Kim Raver, C. Thomas Howell, Brian White, Adina Porter, Rhys Coiro, Lili Simmons, Tara Buck, and Dominique Columbus guest star in season five.
Ray Donovan centers on L.A.’s best professional fixer. It’s up to Ray (Schreiber) to make the biggest problems of the city’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. In the fifth season, Ray must attend a court-ordered anger management program, following a bar fight. Meanwhile, as the wedding of Terry (Marsan) and Maureen (Buck) looms, Mickey (Voight), Bunchy (Mihok), and Daryll (Hall) get ready for it. Eventually, Ray is drawn deeper into Sam Winslow’s (Sarandon) web.
Season Five Ratings
The fifth season of Ray Donovan averaged a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.14 million viewers. Compared to season four, that’s down by 17% and down by 7%, respectively. Find out how Ray Donovan stacks up against other Showtime TV shows.

Will Showtime cancel or renew Ray Donovan for a sixth season? Despite lower numbers, in its fourth season, it was still a top-three performer for the premium cable channel. Since Showtime relies on paid subscribers, rather than ad revenue, it needs to attract and retain viewers. Last September, showrunner David Hollander said that although he is thinking about the endgame, he thinks the show could go beyond season five, if the network is willing. They should cancel it. They already destroyed the show ,flashbacks suck and the show is now a depressing terd. I watched every episode but gave up this season just wasn’t entertaining any more. Why would I want to watch a show that I have faithfully watched from the beginning without the title character. The show is called Ray Donovan without him there is no show as far as i’m Concerned.why are the powers that be always trying to fix something that’s not broken?

I really enjoyed the first five seasons of the show however the sixth season is really a confusing, incoherent and disappointing offering. Someone somewhere said that they were trying to freshen it up, change it a little bit well what they did is they mated unpalatable and very irritating to watch. The last episode of season 5 was Dynamite yet they come back and you don’t know where the hell they are what the heck it’s about and what they’re doing what were they thinking? I agree. I pay $11 month for showtime JUST TO WATCH LAST TWO SEAONS OF RAY DONOVAN . I was super shocked and sickened when Abby died but brushed it off when I started seeing. Ray Donovan with a real emotional side. I’m cancelling Showtime again since there’s no more Ray Donovan cause there’s nothing even close
We definitely need a season 6 and there should be no question about it, but removing Abby left the show with a big hole in the middle. Were the writers so without imagination that they did not know what to do with the Donovan marriage? The stories are very good but they could have reached sublime heights had the writers been attentive to the female characters as well. Instead, they went and removed the only significant and weighty one!!! I liked very much the troubled but abiding marriage line that went through 4 seasons and it should have continued. Ray Donovan is a very deep and provocative show that definitely be renewed for season 6.

Yes is should go a full 10 seasons, a mistake was made killing off Abby.
Who ever decided that should get his *** kicked. But it will survive if the writting goes back to what worked best.
Don’t get ahead of yourself gang, your story going in 6 directions is just to much, we can’t get enough Quality Time with our characters we like.
Make 4 different directions your limit and keep your viewers. You do the best job of any on air drama today, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
