Katey Sagal has acted on numerous TV shows and has had an impressive track record. Many of her series have run for many years — Married with Children, 8 Simple Rules, Futurama, Sons of Anarchy — while others have lasted just a single season. How will this new ABC show perform in the ratings? Will Rebel be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
A drama series, the Rebel TV show is inspired by the life of activist Erin Brockovich today and stars Sagal, John Corbett, James Lesure, Lex Scott Davis, Tamala Jones, Ariela Barer, Kevin Zegers, Sam Palladio, and Andy Garcia. Annie “Rebel” Bello (Sagal) is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant, and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
6/11 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Rebel TV series on ABC? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
*5/14/21 update: Rebel has been cancelled by ABC so there won’t be a second season.
Finally a great show with interesting characters and an amazing plot . . . and you cancel it? What is the matter with you? It will find its audience if you give it a chance.
I’m sure they expected 7 million viewers not 3 mil.
Rebel shouldnotbeencancel
Rebel is so much better than many programs that have remained on for years. She and the cast are great. I really enjoy the show and hope that it can be saved.
I love Rebel, one of my favorite shows for this year, I heard it is going to be canceled, I hope this is wrong. Maybe another network will pick it up. Sad news. Great show.
I love Rebel so far! Katey is amazing as Rebel and as some else mentioned she is loosely based on Erin Brockovich and she’s like that to my understanding loud & too much/messy, but Rebel is her own character nonetheless and interestingly enough Katey made up Rebel’s backstory herself which I think is so neat. I definitely want a second season of the show and on.
We enjoy this series. At least it isn’t preaching political views constantly, which has caused us to delete most of network shows OFF our queue.
Love it!!! You need to realize that Erin Brockovich is involved with this show and Rebel is loosely based on her. Rebel is bold and brassy and I love her and the rest of the cast.
The show up s awful! She is too old for the part and over dramatic. Will not watch again!!!!!
I just don’t care for it. I liked her in other things she has done, but not this. She seems sleazy and unkempt and too much! I would bet it will not be back.
I liked Rebel. The character was a little over the top but I still enjoyed it.
So many great actors & yet it is such a total mess. So unrealistic in oh too many ways. Can’t imagine why any of these men would have married her & why her children even acknowledge her. Don’t know how this set up can be saved.
I did not like Segal’s character wielding a gun around ….and the women not being professional at work (hospital ) ……letting their private lives interfere …”You ghosted me ..live with it “
I watched Rebel from beginning to end and thought it was one of the worst shows I have ever seen. Katy Regal was horrible in her role as an activist. Sorry not a fan
Just watched Rebel last night, my husband and I really enjoyed it. looking forward to future ones great actor and actresses and exciting storyline definitely five stars from us
