9-1-1, the new first responder procedural, has done well enough in the ratings to earn an early season two renewal from FOX. Now the network is introducing The Resident TV show. Is a medical procedural just what the doctor ordered? Will The Resident be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
A drama, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Moran Atias, Merrin Dungey, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Melina Kanakaredes, and Bruce Greenwood. The FOX TV series centers on Dr. Devon Pravesh (Dayal), a newly minted resident, as well as Senior Resident Dr. Conrad Hawkins (Czuchry), and their colleagues at the Chastain Park Memorial Hospital. Although its motto is, “Committed to excellence,” the hospital is staffed with human beings, and humans are flawed. Now that Devon is on the other side of the institution’s velvet ropes, Conrad wants him to understand the reality of medicine and its delivery.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. PLEASE Renew this show (multiple times) My daughter and I spend time together watching this show, even though I’ve recorded it, we end up watching it over and over, it’s just that good. Love the characters/actors in this show. Please FOX, don’t cancel it. I’m still in distress over ABC and then CMT cancelling Nashville, I can’t take another loss.
Are you kidding the network might cancel the Resident? Please don’t it has potential and isn’t off to a bad start. Maybe the Oncologolist who kills is a bit much but it has me hooked.

I love a good doctor show and it has alot of potential but I will not keep watching for a second season if the characters are so heartless all the time. I love a good heartfelt doctor show no one who doesn’t care for their patients. Literally only about 4 characters seem caring and that’s it. It’s quite distasteful.

Please renews The Resident. It is my favorite show & has gotten better with each episode. I have it set to record but I end up watching in real time because now it is so suspenseful. Please, please renew. All the actors are wonderful. I started watching because of Matt but love everyone now.

Please do not cancel The Resident. I love to watch each week. The Resident is more than just a medical series. It is murder/mystery/ investigative. There are so many twist and turns! I love it.

The characters are so interesting and I love the suspense each week. PLEASE RENEW!!! Move to Thursday because there is nothing on Thursday nights worth watching. PLEASE RENEW!!!!
