Does the first season of the Rise TV show on NBC lift your spirits? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Rise is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of the Rise season one episodes here.
An NBC high school drama, Rise stars Josh Radnor, Rosie Perez, Auli’i Cravalho, Damon J. Gillespie, Marley Shelton, Rarmian Newton, Ted Sutherland, Amy Forsyth, Casey W. Johnson, Taylor Richardson, Joe Tippett, and Shirley Rumier. The series centers on Lou Mazzuchelli (Radnor), who is the fictional analogue to Lou Volpe in the Michael Sokolov book, Drama High. Although he is committed to his students at Stanton High School, Lou knows he needs to shake things up, in order to rekindle his passion for teaching. To that end, he petitions to direct the school’s theater program, but soon realizes he signed up for a whole lot more than he originally expected. Soon though, the faculty, student body, and even the town residents find themselves caught up in the new spirit at the school.

5/11/18 update: NBC has cancelled Rise so there won’t be a second season. Details here.
My daughter and I love this show. Soooo sad it’s canceled. It was a show we could watch together and talk about things going on in high school.
This was one show to look forward to in a sea of dismal sit-coms which have no originality. Give it a second season.
Please bring this amazing series back! Such a true to life show. The young generation needs a chance to view it. You chose to air it at a very busy time for them. My grandkids were able to see this and have been blown away at how wonderful it is.
Please do not cancel this show! It is very good.
Why was this cancelled. It is an excellent show. They keep terrible shows like 911 on and cancelled this highly enjoyable show.
All the good shows get cancelled before they even give it a chance. This show will be missed
I loved this show. I am very disappointed it will not be coming back for a second season.
Perhaps some incredibly astute TV exec will find space for it in their line up on a different station.
Please do not cancel this wonderful show. It is too good and should be given a second chance with a second season!
Please realize how wonderful this show is and do not cancel it! Too many stories still to tell!!!
who do you ask if people want to keep programs? RISE is the BEST FOR YEARS yet you are removing it. Where are your values and brains????
I really loved the show. I can not believe that they canceled it. Every time the put a great show on they cancel it. Please reconsider and put season 2 on.
It’s Cancelations of these types of show makes people wonder just what in the hell is going on.. I for one thoroughly enjoyed this show. This is a show that truly is better than a majority of the crap that’s on TV today… I give up
Loved every episode..great cast..nice mix of glee and friday night lights..great story lines all relevant for all ages. Cant believe nbc would cancel this. In just 10 episodes i fell in love with each cast member. I cried on Opening Night..and then i just learned its cancelled and literally cried again. Think again..this is a wonderful show..dont let it go. Hopefully Netflix will pick it up..the show must go on!
I am obsessed with this show so sad it’s being cancelled
This show is better than 90% of what’s on. It has heart, compelling characters and great acting. I screams for at least another season to find its audience.
