Will enough viewers return for the 17th season of the So You Think You Can Dance TV show on FOX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like So You Think You Can Dance is cancelled or renewed for season 18. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the 17th season episodes of So You Think You Can Dance here. *Status Update Below.
A FOX dance competition reality TV series, the So You Think You Can Dance TV show is hosted by Cat Deeley. After a three-year absence, the show introduces a new judging panel with Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Matthew Morrison, and JoJo Siwa. The program features highly skilled dancers between the ages of 18 and 30, showcasing their talents in various dance styles, including contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation, breaking, and more. Those who are selected to move on to the SYTYCD studio work with world-renowned choreographers and compete each week in a variety of styles, with new twists and turns introduced into the competition.

I have always been the biggest fan of the show, however Season 17 really disappointed me! It felt watered down and not the quality show we got used to. It can’t be America’s Favourite Dancer if America does not get to vote? Bring back the judges we love and All Stars.
How can it be America’s Favorite Dancer when America is not voting? Do not like this year’s format.
SOOOOO disappointed in the format..the dancing..the judges this season. Bring Nigel and Mary back. They knew what they were talking about…had constructive criticisim. The variety of dances was lacking. No waltz, not much ballroom. No tap. Too many of the same types of dancing. Rarely a group routine. Disliked the voting system. WHAT HAS HAPPENED?
This season is TERRIBLE!! the format sucks and they were putting through dancers that was not good compared to other great dancers. JoJo’s judging is not up to par and alot of her comments are way too negative and not helpful. They should bring back Nigel and Mary, and bring back the original format so that the public has voting rights and we see more of the prior choreographers. If season 18 is like season 17, they’ll have one less viewer!
How sad the show has become. Not only the format which excludes the public, but the unqualified judges. It appears that the producers and production has gone the way of cheap rather than quality. Sad indeed.
I have been watching since season 1 and this season is horrible! It pains me to watch it, I hope it is cancelled. The format is ridiculous! America can’t vote! Judges are horrible and not qualified to be judges! Dancers are mediocre compared to all the past seasons! To disqualify the better dancers and keep one that is just entertaining but can’t dance at all is an insult to the dance community. It is a joke! This has always been one of my favorite shows, and so I hope it continues, but this year has been disappointing. Jo Jo never gives good criticism. Every dance is the best one she has ever seen. The dancers are not up to par either, and it didn’t help that the strongest ones were eliminated early. I also miss the choreographers from years past. Also, I like when the TV audience votes. Keep the show going, but bring back what worked so well.
Bring back the old format and the old judges. You have not improved the program. You have ruined it. The dancers are not the best either.
This was the worst season So You Think You Can Dance . You took the fun out of the show when Nigel and Mary was there. The season starts with a judge being dismissed from the show and the 3 judges you have are terrible. True Twitch would be better as a guest judge. The contestants that were chosen were not the best. This was my absolute best show, used to make my week.. Twitch is amazing as always.. Jojo is not the right judge for this competition.. bring back more of the dancing!!! Very disappointed with the new format and limited dancing.. Covid just keeps stealing more and more. From the good stuff
How did Jo Jo Siwa get to be a judge? At 19, she doesn’t have the experience necessary to judge effectively! This year’s show is a real disappointment! Always one of my favorite shows, this year it falls well short! Sorry!
Pretty disappointed in the filming – really hard to asses when camera is jumping around so much. Would love to just see perspective of judges
Use to love this show.what do these judges know about true dance except hip hop and what I call gymnastics , this is not dance.None of these judges are professionals.Will not watch again.Not any variety in dance.
This is a great new dynamic! The target demographic loves these actors/dancers/influencers. They are young, fresh and they know what they are talking about. JoJo’s knowledge is great and her fun young energy is infectious. Twitch represents people of color and street dance and Matthew has great experience on stage and screen. He can add a nice new perspective too. Great choices on judges not to mention the always talented contestants.
I stopped watching because JoJo never shuts up. Too annoying.
Hate the new format! Used to be one of my favorite shows. I will no longer watch it!
