What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the NBC television network, Songland features successful singers looking for unknown songwriters to pen their next hit. In each episode, songwriters perform their original tracks before successful musical producers Ester Dean, Ryan Tedder, and Shane McAnally, and the guest artist of the week. The artist then narrows the field to three writers, each of whom works with one of the producers to arrange their song to serve the artist. By episode’s end, the artist selects a song to record for a global release. In the second season, guest artists include Boyz II Men, Florida Georgia Line, Luis Fonsi, H.E.R., Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Julia Michaels, Ben Platt, Bebe Rexha and Usher.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Songland averages a 0.62 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.27 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 26% in the demo and down by 19% in viewership. Find out how Songland stacks up against other NBC TV shows.

Will NBC cancel or renew Songland for season three? This show did well enough last year to land a renewal and, despite a moderate downswing in the ratings, I suspect NBC will bring it back for a third round. I’d be very disappointed if Sonhland is not renewed. It’s one of a handful of shows that I watched consistently. I think there should be more shows like this, Make It and Lego Master that show process, entertain and inform ( forgot family oriented ).

Not sure if it matters but I hope Songland is given a 3rd season.. Inspirational show.. Writers are given a respect and notoriety.
Please bring back Songland for many more seasons. And when you do, can you please instruct the three Uber-Talented writers to stop demolishing the songs! The songs coming in are great, and become really great in the impromptu moment when the three each add their zhuzh to it. But then they leave to go deconstruct it, and by the time they return-that great song is unrecognizable. Of course it is unrecognizable, no longer is there any of the original song left. I loved Songland and would be sadden if it was cancelled. Please return it back to the air and air on different dates and times. Or put in on Hulu or Nerflx, Pluto TV so I can see it when I want to.

Songland is a good show that helps young people who may want to write songs. It does not have killing, vile language, or inappropriate sexual content. it is a excellent family show. I hope that you will bring it back.
