What’s This TV Show About?
An IFC horror-comedy from creator Dana Gould, Stan Against Evil stars John C. McGinley, Janet Varney, Nate Mooney, and Deborah Baker Jr. Guest stars in season three include Scott Adsit, Maria Bamford, Matt Braunger, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Eddie Pepitone. Set in a seemingly quaint but haunted New Hampshire village, the story centers on disgruntled former sheriff Stan Miller (McGinley). This installment kicks off right after last season’s finale, when Stan traveled through time to save his dead wife, which opened a portal between the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead. Now he and Evie (Varney) must deal with the evil forces taking over Willard’s Mill —- which could involve making a deal with the devil.
Season Three Ratings
The third season of Stan Against Evil averaged a 0.04 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 125,000 viewers. Compared to the season two, that’s down by 31% and 27%, respectively. Find out how Stan Against Evil stacks up against other IFC TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Will IFC cancel or renew Stan Against Evil for season four? Well, IFC TV series do so poorly in the Nielsens ratings that it makes it hard for a hungry television vulture to predict that, never mind plan for dinner. AMC Networks owns IFC and it seems to be more of a creativity lab for the parent company than a breadwinner. Still, they want to attract viewers and run programming people actually watch, so at some point, viewership matters. I suspect this will be the final run. This is a very refreshing comedy disguised as a horror show. The cast is really funny and well picked. This is a big loss to see it cancelled

Telly’s Take doesn’t think it will be renewed. However, I don’t think he has thought through the very thing he wrote. IFC barely gets ratings on anything, and this show has an audience! There is NO REASON for IFC to get rid of this show unless it’s something unavoidable like cast or crew members leaving, etc.

Stan against evil is just about my favorite everytime I watch an episode i feel like that’s my favorite!!!!! But then I watch another and i love that one too….I love the satiric humor each time I watch I can pick out more hidden humor…please lets have season 4. !.!.!shovels up!

Stan Vs Evil: Is a witty show. It has humor that is funny from a male and female perspective. The best part of this show is the actors/actresses and the amazing staff that keeps the viewers on their toes with plot line and background placements. I usually don’t leave a reply but, Please keep this show going if not on your channel then some other format.
This is a great show. Very refreshing compared to other stuff that’s on TV. I certainly hope it’s renewed for a fourth season.
The only thing bad about the show is I WISH IT WERE AN HOUR LONG! 8 thirty minute episodes are just not enough! My favorite comedy show ever!
I agree with you, the only complaint I have is the time length. Stan Vs Evil should be an hour long, and maybe if they had decided to title it different considering Evie’s part but that ship has sailed.

I love the show. Stan Against Evil is hilarious! Hopefully the ‘Higher-Ups’ give the OK to allow the show to continue for a few more seasons.
