The CW has been having some great success with DC Comics superhero shows. Now, CBS has gotten into the game with their own entry — Supergirl. While Arrow and The Flash fit well with rest of The CW’s programming, Supergirl seems out of place on CBS, a network known for older-skewing procedurals. Will the new series soar in the ratings or will it crash? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
Supergirl revolves around Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist). As a girl, she survived Krypton’s destruction by being sent to Earth where she was raised as a human. She kept her powers a secret and now, as an adult, works as an assistant at a big city media conglomerate. Kara’s existence becomes known to the world and she is enlisted by a super-secret agency to help protect the citizens from evil forces as Supergirl. The rest of the cast includes Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood, and Jeremy Jordan.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/12 update: Supergirl has been renewed for a second season but is moving to The CW.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also see them here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Supergirl TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This show should be on Saturday mornings. To fake.
I don’t get the connection , but I love show its great show but technically all Super hero shows are fake , but I’m not 1 judge I mean I just said a while a love the show , there are so many inconsistencies w/ other Supergirl lore

Since supergirl started in season 1 the rating
are excellent. I love supergirl the show has a
drama.
lol look at supergirl tanking. saw this coming from a mile away. it was a dumb idea to start, and cbs is starting to pay for it now. they better hope the ratings stabilize, because if it continues to tank, you arent gonna see this show for much longer. especially since its too expensive for the cw. why cbs thought anyone would want a chick-flick type superhero, i have no idea. the only audience for this show is 13 yr old girls, and no one else. no guys would ever watch it, and look! they arent.
I’m way past 13 yrs old and I love it
well good for you, cuz given the ratings, it looks like you are the only one.
Boooo.

Supergirl is a excellent it’s a great show not
because I love the show I love the characters
in the show and many other people not just
Rating.
I read the Supergirl comics since 1959. I don’t like it when a series decides to change everything established for a half century. They got the origin wrong, Jimmy Olson is a short ginger not a NFL tight end. She’s not using super speed when she’s battling slower enemies.
Linda Lee Danvers was her secret identity Earth name not Cara . The suit is wrong. Dissapointing .
Well you know nowadays they have to throw a Black Man into everything so they wont demonstrate.
Actually it was Linda Lang. She took the cover as Lana’s niece but I get where you’re coming from. They change up the origin of supergirl. Like the main fact that Aunt Astra isn’t suppose to be there and Kara and Clark are the only ones to have their abilities from the yellow sun. Astra would have gotten the abilities from Kara’s blood or the red sun. making Kara a human.
I think there using the newer DC comics for her name source material… But yeah they changed a lot of things.
I watched the Nov 9 Supergirl for 10 minutes. It was nauseatingly bad. Hokey and bad acting to begin.
Supergirl is excellent it’s a great show and love it keep the show running and no it’s got great Ratings & I know it’ll keep on going so I just renew it for another season and keep the seasons going.
I can’t wait until the next episode
there f#%&ing stupid putting it in the same time slot as gotham.
