Why does Supernatural need to end? Recently, CW boss Mark Pedowitz explained why the TV show is ending after 15 seasons, EW reports.
The long-running drama series centers on the paranormal adventures of the Winchester brothers, Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki). The cast also includes Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert.
During this year’s summer TCA press conference, Pedowitz explained why Supernatural is ending this season. Pedowitz said that he had a “very, very long, sad, heartbreaking discussion” with the show’s stars, as well as Warner Bros. Television president Peter Roth.
“We all came to understand what the guys wanted to do,” Pedowitz said, explaining that Ackles and Padalecki wanted to go out while the show was “still relevant.” Additionally, Pedowitz cited spending time with their families and seeing “what else was out in the world” as the guys’ reasons for ending the show.
However, there may be a chance for a future revival. Star Jensen Ackles recently teased a possible reunion in the future, TVLine reports:
It’s a long journey that I don’t think is ever going to be over. I think we’re just going to go away for a while. For how long, I don’t know.”
The 15th and final season of Supernatural premieres on The CW on October 10th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Yes! Would love the return of Supernatural, never should have been cancelled in the first place! Adjusted my work schedule just for this one series and now their changing the schedule!
Although all good things must come to an end. Things do go stale. I just hope if & when the series comes back, it goes on for another decade but reality adding 10yrs of the series, any series, wears down some. I just hope they can keep at a real strong work ethic into each & every episode as the 15yrs we got from the best tv series for its genre !! Take a break but get this damn series back on the air !! As much as I absolutely love the show, the cast, the story lines (even the kinda corny ones) the fun we have watching Dean act goofy and Sam raising an eyebrow at his immaturity. Cas running around doing what he can for his brothers, me bawling my eyes out over you all, I mean the list goes on and on. I can completely understand them wanting to be with their families. Absolutely love the show! I’ve watched it from season 1 up to present a few times, have a year off and come back please, I can’t get to grips with it’s actually ending

Hell no I dont want the show to end. Although I can see where the stars have p ln ayed the same parts a long time. No show comes close to being as fun to watch from Dean’s flippant behaviour to Bobby’s giving his boys crap. And Sam’s trying to keep things calm. Wish I knew all of them personally. I will really hate to see them end this show. At least another 5 years left in them. Love them all. What a Great show

Yes I want Supernatural to return. Sometimes a break is good for everyone. I think they would all come back stronger after a break. I vote Yes, please come back.
I’ve been watching Supernatural since it inception. My sister (who has now passed away) both loved this show and would hate to see it end. I look forward to every new season. Hopefully all the actors will want to continue on again.
