It looks like ABC isn’t in love with Daniel and Noa. The network has cancelled The Baker and the Beauty TV show so there won’t be a second season.
A romantic musical dramedy that’s based on an Israeli series, The Baker and the Beauty TV show is a modern-day fairy tale that stars Victor Rasuk, Nathalie Kelley, Carlos Gomez, Dan Bucatinsky, Lisa Vidal, David Del Rio, Belissa Escobedo, and Michelle Veintimilla. In the show, everyman Daniel Garcia (Rasuk) is working in his family’s Miami bakery and doing everything that his loving Cuban parents and siblings expect him to do. One crazy night, Daniel meets Noa Hamilton (Kelley), an international superstar and fashion mogul. The pair quickly discover they have an attraction for one another and Daniel’s life suddenly turns upside down as it moves into the spotlight. Will this unlikely couple upend their lives to be together?
Airing on Monday nights, the first season of The Baker and the Beauty averaged a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.50 million viewers. Compared to the ratings of ABC’s other scripted series, this show ranked 19th out of 20 shows for the 2019-20 season.
Fellow freshman series Emergence has also been cancelled while For Life, Stumptown, and Mixed-ish have all been renewed for the 2020-21 season.

I loved Baker and the Beauty and im extremely upset that it won’t be returning! There’s not very many good shows to watch anymore and this one was amazing!
THANK GOD….this was one of the stupidest, ridiculous shows ever conceived. my god, so a “celebrity” sees a guy treat a woman hes been dating awhile, badly, and thinks, “oohhh i want him” this MIGHT have worked as a tv movie on lifetime , as a series …NO, and proof is in the cancellation…sorry but it PROVES my post to be correct, men thought it was stupid…AND SO DO WOMEN, even they didnt watch it enough to get it renewed….
Very sad! Networks are only looking at one thing and that are the short term numbers. They need to look at the overall message and potential. Research the individual Michael Jordan and the TV show Seinfeld and see where they started and where they turned out. Someone saw potential!
So sad Baker and the Beauty is cancelled. We loved the show, but we don’t count because we’re not in the demographic that counts. We’re senior citizens.
ABC how sad not to renew the Baker and the Beauty…it was a great show with a great cast….hope someone worthy of the show will pick them up.
I really look forward to show, not too many good shows out there anymore. Network seems not give chance how is anything going to be decide in 9 episodes. Good to see show that great acting and strong Cuban family culture. Please bring it back nothing to watch on ABC network.

Baker and the Beauty was our favorite show. So well done, great acting and family character development. It was also refreshing to have strong Latino Actors.
The Baker and The Beauty was such a good show. The cast chemistry was undeniable. I can’t believe you would cancel. Just goes to show that ABC can’t represent other cultures. So disappointing especially with what’s going on in the world. You had an opportunity to stand out with this show.
Hopefully, a better network will pick it up.

I’m so sick & tired of the good shows being cancelled and they keep the crap shows! I LOVED this show. I’m so bummed right now & not going to watch abc anymore because they have no other good shows.

It’s sad that the are always taken good shows off . I’m sure we will get another reality show that I won’t watch . Before long I’m just going to cancel local channels for good
I’m a guy and actually liked this show. Hispanic culture and it was actually good coming from me. Hope it gets a second go around.
