It looks like ABC isn’t in love with Daniel and Noa. The network has cancelled The Baker and the Beauty TV show so there won’t be a second season.
A romantic musical dramedy that’s based on an Israeli series, The Baker and the Beauty TV show is a modern-day fairy tale that stars Victor Rasuk, Nathalie Kelley, Carlos Gomez, Dan Bucatinsky, Lisa Vidal, David Del Rio, Belissa Escobedo, and Michelle Veintimilla. In the show, everyman Daniel Garcia (Rasuk) is working in his family’s Miami bakery and doing everything that his loving Cuban parents and siblings expect him to do. One crazy night, Daniel meets Noa Hamilton (Kelley), an international superstar and fashion mogul. The pair quickly discover they have an attraction for one another and Daniel’s life suddenly turns upside down as it moves into the spotlight. Will this unlikely couple upend their lives to be together?
Airing on Monday nights, the first season of The Baker and the Beauty averaged a 0.47 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.50 million viewers. Compared to the ratings of ABC’s other scripted series, this show ranked 19th out of 20 shows for the 2019-20 season.
Fellow freshman series Emergence has also been cancelled while For Life, Stumptown, and Mixed-ish have all been renewed for the 2020-21 season.

I loved the show! I loved the show! Did I tell you I loved the show! It was romantic, funny, it had life lessons just overall a great show, very disappointed for the cancellation!

Just read the terrible news of cancellation. I really enjoyed that show. I couldn’t wait to hear what was going to happen next season. Hoping another network will pick it up so we can continue to enjoy it and see what happens next. I like the message that someone famous could fall for an average Joe and make it work.
Of course ABC canceled this show because they canceled every show that anyone might like ABC really is stupid I hate them they cancel everything that is good program and put on all of the sitcom’s,game shows or these variety shows that’s just stupid like The bachelor The bachelorette or that island thing you’ve seen it once you seen it.they don’t care what the audience wants all they care about is what ABC wants.why is it the 18-49 yr. olds theyonly look at what about people that are older than 49 do they think that they don’t watch TV? I enjoyed Baker and The Beauty. It was a believable, fun show. It would have had a lot more viewers had it been aired at a family-friendly hour {8pm}. The time slot of 10 pm was too late for a family show which this definitely was. Maybe Freeform would like to pick up this show or Netflix since ABC doesn’t feel it deserves a second chance in a more favorable time slot for a family show.

I love Baker and the Beauty, are they checking the ratings on Netflix for the show? My daughter and I set our calendar to watch each episode, we don’t have cable so had to wait for it to come on Netflix, but we loved it. It’s one of those must sees and loved the family and the exposure to the Cuban culture. Why do you do this? Get us hooked, don’t give it a chance. This is a show that if promoted so many would get hooked.

ABC Never gave the Baker and the Beauty a chance! Poor advertising in a crappy time slot I am sure if it was put in the 8pm time slot it would do much better! ABC seems to have lots of decent shows but putting a shoe like this on in the middle/end of the season at 10pm against shows like Bull in CBS I just could only imagine why very few vets. I cannot understand why your network cancels great shows like The Baker and The Beauty!! If want to start getting better ratings then you should KEEP great shows like The Baker and The Beauty!! It’s a wonderful, light showwirh a great cast!!! We all need a little bit of light & fun shows. Please save The Baker and The Beauty!!!

The Baker & the beauty is a great show very entertaining & you’re taking it off the air. ABC you have garbage shows on your network that’s why your ratings are not good. At one time you used to be the top network. You need to listen to your viewers
Can’t believe this show was cancelled! My husband and I really enjoyed this light airy show. A great relief from all the other violent shows that are on.
