Can CeCe help catch the killers in the first season of The Genetic Detective TV show on ABC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like The Genetic Detective is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. An ABC true-crime series, The Genetic Detective follows investigative genetic genealogist CeCe Moore and her work with DNA technology company Parabon NanoLabs. In the series, Moore and her team revolutionize crime-solving by working with police departments and accessible crime scene DNA to help trace the path of a criminal suspect’s family tree, uncover their identity and bring them to justice. Since 2018, Moore has used her unique research skills to transform the face of crime-solving, helping to identify more than 100 violent criminal suspects.

This show is excellent! I think it is important to show resolutions to cold cases. It is inspiring and shows the important work being done with genetic detecting. Definitely worth renewing for many seasons to come.

My husband and I both looked forward to watching this show each week. We found each episode very interesting and its so different from the typical shows. It involves real people, with intriguing methods of solving crimes. Very enlightening!
Love this show. Watched every episode and was very disappointed that it wasn’t on this past week. Please bring it back for another season. Interest in Genealogy and DNA crime solving is at an all time high. Please give this show more time and I believe you will see the ratings continue to rise.

I love this show. And I think it is very important to let criminals know that no matter how long it has been, they will pay for these horrendous crimes. DNA does not lie and families need justice. Please do not cancel this show. There are so few true crime shows on today with a somewhat good ending.
