The Talk is losing another one of its hosts. Carrie Ann Inaba is leaving the daytime series after three seasons. She took a break to focus on her health earlier this year, but it is now known she will not return to the series when it returns to CBS daytime this fall.
Inaba said the following about the decision, per Deadline:
“I enjoyed my time at The Talk as co-host and moderator and I am grateful for the opportunity I had to grow with the entire Talk family as well as truly connect with viewers on such a personal level. I will miss The Talk, but I am excited for the next chapter both for myself and for the show.”
Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews, executive producers of the daytime series, also spoke about her exit in a statement:
“Carrie Ann’s authenticity and openness created a special connection and relationship with our audience. We will always be grateful for her contributions here at The Talk over the last 3 seasons. Her warmth, wisdom and vulnerability are just a few of her many admirable traits that will be missed. We wish her much success and good health going forward.”
Inaba is not the only departure from the series this year. Sharon Osborne also left the series and she was replaced by Jerry O’Connell earlier this summer.
The Talk will return to CBS this fall. A new co-host for the series will be announced at a later date.
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Talk? Are you surprised by Inaba’s exit?
The Talk should have kept the two that left and got rid of Underwood.
I think the show should be canceled.
cancel the show
I hope the “Talk” is canceled..it has become very boring…and the way Sherri fawns over certain make guests is sickening…
The obvious choice for another male co-host to sit next to Jerry O’Connell would be Rembrandt “Crying Man” Brown.
I saw what happened between Mrs. O and Sheryl Underwood. I love them both.
I like Jerry. The show has turned into something totally different from what it once was. I cannot watch it anymore. The feeling of sisterhood is gone. It’s just like every other talk show now. It’s a big disappointment.
I haven’t watched the show since all the Mrs O madness. I no longer watch the show it’ll never be the same!
Not the same. It was handled awful with Mrs. O and I was turned off. They went through a whole year of Covid and to end the way it did is sad…
Never used to miss an episode until Sharon was let go for speaking her mind. The entire format has changed and you couldn’t pay me to watch it now with current hosts.
I love this show. I will miss Carrie Ann.I like the addition of Jerry O’Connell. It’s nice to have a male perspective. Will continue to watch.
I think she saw the writing on the WALL!! I stopped after Sharon left too.
I miss Sharon don’t she should of had to leave. Carrie Ann was a great host I stopped watching when Sharon left.
It a about time u taking this show off no good
I have watched the talk since the beginning and I have to say the changing of the host’s had never faded me much, but this past year overwhelming. The loss of beloved Sharon, wich I didn’t approve at all of how that went down. No more Eve, and now the Sweet and honest Carrie Ann. I’m done sorry to Say.
I am very disappointed in the fact of what Cheryl did to Mrs O. Now she is in charge and the show is terrible . Haven’t watched since .
Carrie has more class then any of them so glad she is not going back . Good for her .
I just can’t believe they keep renewing this terrible show. I don’t blame her for jumping ship. I’ve taken to watching the news channels instead of these idiotic talk shows.
