The Young and the Restless is getting ready to restart production. The powers that be behind the daytime soap sent out a letter to its cast and the rest of its crew that production would resume in early July. Per Deadline, the soap will start filming new episodes on July 6 possibly. It is not a solid start date, but a goal for those involved.
Right now, The Young and the Restless is working closely with its fellow soap, The Bold and the Beautiful, to make sure proper protocols are in place to keep everyone on set safe.
Production on the CBS daytime drama shut down in March, and the last new episode aired in April. Since then, fans of the soap have been watching reruns grouped into theme weeks daily.
It is not yet known when new episodes will start to air.

Not sure how they can do new shows and social distance, let alone do romantic scenes????
I am so looking forward for both Y&R and B&B to begin airing again! I have been a fan of both soaps since they began production. Y&R is by far my favorite of the two and I have been watching the Y&R reruns while reminiscing of days gone by!

Yes I will be so happy when the current episodes return, l have not been watching the old episodes. The sooner they get back on track the better.
So looking forward to the Soaps to start filming again. I sure hope all the stars are doing well and will be resuming their roles. We would watch every day .
I cant wait for all 3 that I watch to come back GH, Y&R and B&B miss watching everyday after work.
Just miss watching a show that has been with me since I was 5 yrs old every mon- Fri mom and grandma watched Young ang Restless so I watched too and have ever since I’m about to be 50 so since 75 has been my show lol
I have missed the Young and Restless and, Bold and Beautiful so much!
I can hardly wait for the return of both Y & R and B & B! Although I must say it has been fun seeing the earlier shows with characters who may or may not still be part of the show along with all the juicy plot twists!
I’ve enjoyed the reruns but I sure miss y’all. Can’t hardly wait. Be safe and have loved y’all since the 1st episode.

I am I can’t wait to see where they left off I want to see brand new opening with all the faces of the cast members and with ailva Lind who plays faith on contracts with the show and and bring some fresh faces like dominic zamprogna ryan paevey teresa castillo to join the young and the restless family and on contracts and on the opening

I will be so happy when All my daytime shows will return with an all-new episode. I can’t wait to learn how the writer will fill in the plot from the last episode and to the new episode.
