In early 2016, truTV began airing Those Who Can’t, the cable channel’s first scripted comedy series. The ratings were low but the series had already been renewed for a second season. Will the numbers improve in season two? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.
A single-camera comedy, Those Who Can’t revolves around a group of trouble-making teachers at Smoots High School — Spanish teacher and self-proclaimed bon vivant, Loren (Adam Cayton-Holland); former all-star student and gym teacher Andy (Andrew Orvedahl); and angry history teacher Billy (Ben Roy). It also follows school librarian Abbey (Maria Thayer), a sugar-addicted recent divorcee.
In the changing world of television, TV execs look at many factors when deciding to renew or cancel a show. However, the ratings are still very important. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The first season of Those Who Can’t on truTV averaged a 0.17 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 332,000 viewers.
What do you think? Do you like the Those Who Can’t TV show? Do you think that it should be cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Pretty good in some episodes. But a lot of poor mones too.
The redhead is great. Best character is the black secretary
This show is on my list of all time favorites. One thing it needs.
MORE KYLE KINANE!!
My new favorite show, gets funnier every episode, MUST BE RENEWED FOR SEASON 3
Love it! We need a season 3.
This show gets funnier as it goes on. The last few episodes of season 2 were hilarious and some of the best! I just wish it weren’t on such a random, lame channel (although it looks like TruTV is improving from its former SUPER fake and scripted “reality” shows). I am certain that Those Who Can’t would have had much better ratings on Comedy Central or if it were released by Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime. I just don’t think many people know about it or give it a chance once they see what channel it is on.
This show is awesome!
