The Transparent TV show on Amazon has been renewed for a fourth season. Cast members returning in season four include: Jeffrey Tambor, Judith Light, Gaby Hoffmann, Amy Landecker, and Jay Duplass.
Transparent TV series creator Jill Soloway will continue as showrunner. Andrea Sperling executive produces. The fourth season of Transparent will debut on Amazon Prime Video in 2017. Transparent, season three, will premiere in the US, UK, Austria, Germany, and Japan, in Fall, 2016.
Amazon describes Transparent as a “…half hour novelistic series that explores family, identity, sex, and love.” Transparent stars Tambor as Maura Pfefferman. When Maura reintroduces herself to her family, their secrets finally start to come out. Maura’s ex-wife is Shelly (Judith Light).
Their children are Ali (Gaby Hoffmann), Josh (Jay Duplass), and Sarah (Amy Landecker) who is experiencing sexually conflicting feelings. Each of the Pfeffermans “…spins in a different direction, as they figure out who they won’t become.”

Written, directed and executive produced by multi-award winner Soloway, Transparent is a half hour novelistic series that explores family, identity, sex, and love. The series stars Tambor as Maura. We found this a quite depressing, tedious and unfunny show and stopped watching halfway through season one. There are so many better things to watch in our limited free time.
