NBC is making some adjustments to its fall schedule ahead of its start next month.
The network has revealed that Canadian medical drama Transplant will return for its third season on October 12th, a week later than initially planned.
Hamza Haq, Laurence Leboeuf, John Hannah, Jim Watson, Ayisha Issa, Linda E. Smith, Torri Higginson, Gord Rand, Nora Guerch, and Ahmad Meree star in the series, which follows a Syrian doctor living in Canada after escaping his homeland with his younger sister.
Season three of Transplant will have him seeking citizenship in Canada and looking at the man he has become while living there.
As for Quantum Leap and Magnum PI, the two NBC series are changing Wednesday night timeslots. Quantum Leap will air at 8 PM and Magnum PI at 9 PM starting October 4th. Reruns of the Chicago dramas will follow them at 10 PM.
Compared to the other broadcast networks, NBC will have the most new episodes of original scripted series this fall. Returners Quantum Leap and Magnum PI will be joined by new dramas The Irrational (September 25th) and Found (October 3rd).

Magnum PI is the show we are most looking forward to…as it seems many in the comments below are saying as well. From the characters/actors to the storyline, and unusual but very refreshing cleaness of the show, it was a favorite in our house. Really disappointed you’ve decided to cancel.

Magnum Pi is a great show
It would be great if the Magnum ratings were good enough for NBC to consider renewing it beyond the 10 episodes we have coming as ‘season 5 part 2.’ Wishful thinking in the new TV Hollywood climate… 🙁
Why hasn’t the writer’s strike affected Quantum Leap and Magnum?

Quantum Leap, far and away! I am happy NBC decided to carry on with the additional Transplant seasons already aired in Canada. It’s unique POV is refreshing. I’ve heard good things about the new series, and I am most excited about the Irrational.
