This Is Us will return to NBC this fall with its second season, and fans will continue to see the drama on Tuesday nights after the series was moved back from a night switch. At Upfronts, NBC had announced plans for a move to Thursday nights.
That decision was reversed, and Jennifer Salke, NBC entertainment president, revealed why at the ATX Television Festival. She said the following, per The Hollywood Reporter:
“We all had to look each other and say, ‘This is not in the best interest of the show.’ On Thursday, we have would hit a wall with football on NBC and we would be off the air almost for two months. We have to do what’s right for a show that is grounding and incredible in every way. It would be a disservice to not treat it that way.”
This Is Us was a big hit during its first season. Fans will see an 18-episode season two this fall on NBC. Are you glad to see this series remaining on Tuesday nights? Tell us what you think.
absolutely, Too much competition on Thursday night. Leave a good thing where it is…
Yes, keep it on Tuesday nights. This show has a huge following and there is no sense in taking a chance on losing that!!
OMG!!! The best show ever!!!!
This show is much more suited to it’s original, Tuesday, time slot. Glad to hear the Thursday slot was ‘rethunk’…Now my Tuesday evenings will be all set.
Agree Tuesday is better but why only 18 episodes???
Yes, leave This Is Us in its Tuesday slot. What’s wrong with you, NBC? Ever hear the expression “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it?” Why would you even think of moving this perfect show?
Those were my thoughts exactly! It did great on Tues. why move it. I’m glad they got smart and moved it back to Tues
So they decide to F**k with Chicago Fire instead of this crap?
One person’s crap is another person’s treasure and visa versa. True for both This is Us and Chicago Fire.
I’d like to see all 3 of the Chicago shows on the same night….they you could see some of the cross over stories & people. Instead of guessing what day each one is on.
