Looks like Jared Padalecki is staying at The CW. Deadline reports the Supernatural star’s new Walker, Texas Ranger reboot will air on the network.
Based on the Chuck Norris series, the action drama will star Padalecki as Cordell Walker, “a widower and father of two with his own moral code, who returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there’s harder work to be done at home.”
The reboot, titled Walker, will be developed by The The CW. Padalecki is set to executive produce the series alongside writer Anna Fricke.

Awesome. Can’t wait. Liked the show before but lost interest. I loved that Jared will be Walker.
I used to watch Walker Texas Ranger with my dad as a kid. I am NOT a fan of reboots, BUT I will watch in support of Jared. I would actually see Jensen as more of a cowboy type but I will definitely watch.

Was not a fan of the original show or Chuck Norris at all. But, will look forward to checking out this reboot with Jared!

I’ll give it a try but Jared has some big shoes to fill. I loved Walker Texas Ranger. Hopefully they won’t ruin it. It won’t take me but 1 or episodes for me to decide. But fyi: I don’t watch reboots of Hawaii 5-0, McGyver,Magnum P.I. and none of the TV shows made into movies. All trash!
Chuck Norris IS Cordell Walker. I like Jared, but in HIS role. He is not Chuck Norris therefore he’s not Cordell Walker. By the same token Chuck Norris is not Jared P. and could not replace him in Supernatural.
If they wanna reboot Walker Texas Ranger they’ll have to get Chuck Norris on board. Since Nobile Willingham has died it would be nice to see them bring back the other costars such as Sheree J Wilson and Clarence Gilyard. Anything less is just gonna be a one season ( or less ) flop. IMHO

liked Jared we are both eager to see & are sure he’ll be GREAT.
Wasn’t a big fan of the original Walker but will watch the reboot because of Jarad Padalecki being the main character. Good luck Jarad
