What’s This TV Show About?
A western family drama on the Hallmark cable channel, When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow, Lori Loughlin, Jack Wagner, Martin Cummins, Pascale Hutton, and Kavan Smith. Inspired by the Janette Oke novel, the Hallmark Channel TV series centers on Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher from a high society background. When she is assigned to teach in a coal country classroom, her life completely changes, particularly when she meets Royal North West Mounted Policie Constable Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing). Season six kicks off with the recently widowed Elizabeth Thatcher Thornton anticipating the arrival of Jack’s posthumous baby.
Season Six Ratings

Will Hallmark cancel or renew When Calls the Heart for season seven? I’m sure that the series will be renewed. In addition, a spin-off called When Calls Hope will premiere on Hallmark’s streaming service in 2019. I’ll keep an eye on the Nielsen numbers, as we wait for an official announcement. I agree. I love the show simply because of no swearing, just full of love, compassion, unity. Children could learn so many wonderful things not like other shows these days. I don’t want tv very often but I can sit and watch this one over and over again. Believe it or not, when I started watching it from Netflix, I cried so many times and finish the whole 6 seasons. I am watching it over again. Hallmark Channel, please keep this show going.Thank you.
This is the best show on television. It is suspenseful, compassionate, beautifully filmed and written. I feel that I know the characters personally. Just how pathetic is that? The love between Elizabeth and Jack is palpable. You made a grave mistake in killing Jack. I am tempted to boycott the show. You could have sent him off for awhile. I don’t know the motivation behind his wanting to leave. Maybe he had many other more lucrative offers. I am disappointed in Hallmark and Daniel Lissing.
Please keep this wonderful show. Honestly, I got so caught up in the beauty of the Christmas special, I forgot about Daniel Lissing. That is, until she pulled out the picture. The LOVE in this show is just unique. The set is captivating, I really feel as if I am experiencing their world. The wardrobe is so authentic to the era, yet really fits each actors personal style. I Agree. There are so few shows on TV that are fit to watch. Shows like When Calls The Heart and Heartland are two of the best shows that have earned the highest ratings are worth keeping on forever.

I enjoy this series very much. I looked forward to viewing the Christmas episode and enjoyed it. I thought the story was well written and everyone did a great job. I am sorry Daniel Lissing asked to be killed off and hope the writers and he will agree to have Jack appear in flashbacks with his family. I would be sorry to see the show cancelled since it is well written and family oriented.

“When Calls The Heart” should definitely be RENEWED! What a wonderful show! It would be great if there were at least a couple more episodes each season.

Please keep giving us the story of “When Calls the Heart” Our family and my brother and sister in laws family meet together each week to watch every episode. We all love it and it would be very sad to see it go.
I hope hallmark will continue with season7 of when calls the heart, and hope they would do everything they could to get Daniel Lissing back on the show. I really love all of the cast and they do a great job, but still missing Jack’s character. The Christmas special was bittersweet, and still at times a very sad, but the cast did really well.
I hate to tell you this but he died so there is not much hope to bring him back.
Those who make the shows have ways of bringing the dead back to life.
They could say a mistake was made and Daniel was amnesia victim for a short time.
This is one of the few decent shows on TV. I really miss Daniel Lissing!
