Will Elizabeth and Lucas’ relationship grow in the ninth season of the When Calls the Heart TV show on Hallmark Channel? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like When Calls the Heart is cancelled or renewed for season 10. A Hallmark Channel romantic drama series, When Calls the Heart stars Erin Krakow, Jack Wagner, Kevin McGarry, Chris McNally, Andrea Brooks, Kavan Smith, and Pascale Hutton. Others in the cast include Ben Rosenbaum, Johannah Newmarch, Martin Cummins, Kayla Wallace, Viv Leacock, Natasha Burnett, Vienna Leacock, Elias Leacock, Hrothgar Mathews, Loretta Walsh, and Amanda Wong. Inspired by the Janette Oke novel, the TV series follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Krakow), a young teacher from a high society background. She’s assigned to teach in a coal country classroom and it’s a life-changing experience. Now a widow and single mother, Elizabeth faces new challenges but enters into a new relationship with mysterious gambler Lucas Bouchard (McNally). In season nine, Hope Valley is in a state of growth, with the foundry’s progress and the evolution of key relationships. The Mayoral race has the town buzzing with a few members of the town running against one another. Elizabeth and Lucas focus on their relationship beyond courtship, and as she gets to know Lucas better, she learns about his past which gives Elizabeth pause about their future.

Please renew WCTH for another season. There are less and less family TV shows. We have made Coal Valley our family. You canceled Good Witch.” And such a loss for us.

Absolutely have season 10 & many more of when calls the heart. Best series ever. But too many commercials
I look forward to watching When Calls the Heart. It is clean, wholesome and realistic with drama, romance, and intrigue. I think Elizabeth is still rather childish and naive. From past shows, I anticipate season 9 ending with her with Nathan because she changes her mind so often. I like the new Little Jack better this year. He has so much charm and character. I hope there is a Season 10.
I love When Calls The Heart. It is a clean, decent show. However,. I don’t like the Elizabeth and Lucas match.
Best show on tv. Hope to have many more seasons. A great show with No nudity, sex or profanity in it. Need a lot more shows like this. Love Lucas and Elizabeth together. Elizabeth already had one Mountie husband we needed something different. I think Lucas will be a great father to Jack.

Not watching anymore. You portrayed Lucas as most likely being shady and suddenly he’s not. As a result of your own manipulating script, Lucas can never be the right man for her.
JT said that he did not agree with hallmarks marketing practices. The continue to say that Lucas is mischievous (decoy). JT said that E & L are staying together. So glad that you caught on to the truth!

Don’t like Elizabeth and Lucas they don’t make sense a school teacher with a shady saloon owner, plus she is always running to Nathan instead if Lucas that should tell the writers that the pairing is wrong. Plus Lucas is not a fatherly figure. Elizabeth needs to realize she chose wrong that after getting to know Lucas some that he isn’t for her and little Jack.
From what i watched on the 1st episode Elizabeth is not running to Nathan, but rather runs into N or Nathan talks to her in the saloon. I was shocked that Elizabeth wanted to teach N to drive. Lucas is actually bonding with his buddy Jack.
Renew…..hopefully Elizabeth & Nathan work out. Love the show either way tho. And we do need more shows like this!
Hallmark has been deceiving the nathan fans again to get them to watch. JT said that at the end of season 9 Lucas & Elizabeth will be together. Mei Sou is married saw a picture on Instagram. JT said everyone ends with a good arc well with the exception of nathan. This is so sad!
I hate that Jack was killed off. I wanted to see more development of their marriage. However, I prefer Nathan over Lucas for Elizabeth.
Renew for season 10
Hallmark is struggling to get the Demo 18-49 viewership up! The ratings were high, so maybe this will pull a tenth season.
I absolutely love this show. Best show on TV. I don’t have to worry about the nudity, violence or profanity. It’s awesome!
You make a good point about the nudity, violence. I did notice that E said ‘heck” in the classroom, and i am hoping that more of the characters are not going to start cussing. I also notice that Elizabeth 7 Lucas kiss alot. In seasons 1-5 J & E had 11 kisses total.

I love the program but I was hoping Elizabeth would hsve chose Nathan because I think they would have been a better match. I do not like her and Lucas as a pair, nothing against Lucas because I think he is a good looking actor, I just don t like him with Elizabeth.
