A spy drama with a screwball comedy bent, Whiskey Cavalier stars Scott Foley, Lauren Cohan, Ana Ortiz, Tyler James Williams, Vir Das, and Josh Hopkins. The series centers on FBI Agent Will Chase (Foley), codename: “Whiskey Cavalier” and CIA operative Frankie Trowbridge (Cohan), codename: “Fiery Tribune.” Although they start off as rivals, they’re soon assigned to a joint-agency task force to root out corruption and crime and save the world.
Airing on Wednesday nights, the first season of Whiskey Cavalier is averaging a 0.59 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 3.47 million viewers.
Out of the 21 scripted ABC TV shows of the 2018-19 season, Whiskey Cavalier is in 18th place in the demo and 13th place in total viewership.
The decision to renew or cancel Whiskey Cavalier reportedly came down to the wire. Word is that Warner Bros TV will be shopping season two to other outlets so there is some small hope that the series will survive.

Yes I would totally watch!! It was one of my favorite shows and I’m not easily entertained. I hope another network is smart enough to keep this gem of a show on the air. I would watch it happily weekly!!
I don’t know what to say, I was impressed from the first episode
and I just do not understand why it is being cancelled. I hope someone
will pick it up.
I am VERY DISAPPOINTED that Whiskey Cavalier was cancelled. I thought it was a fun, fast paced show with a spot on cast. Between the witty dialogue and the subtle (and sometimes NOT so subtle) facial expressions of the actors, I was totally entertained. I looked forward to watching every week. I hope that another network picks up the show.
I jus don’t think it’s fair to launch a program in February and then be concerned about ratings. By February, most people have a viewing routing for the week. It’s difficult to get people to take a look at a new program at that time of year. It would’ve been better to launch in August/September and give it a full season. ABC, you suck as a station! Whiskey Cavalier is the second show this season on your network that I have absolutely LOVED watching and that you have decided to cancel (the other show is The Fix). QUIT considering whether or not you will cancel/renew a show just based on the viewership of the 18-49 demographic & start considering overall viewership over 3 days (in order to allow DVR watchers to have time to watch shows). All viewers matter!

Whiskey Cavalier is smart, funny & very entertaining! The chemistry among the actors in their roles is perfect in every way! Please please please don’t take this series off the air-& don’t put on Netflix or anywhere else like that- as I don’t subscribe! Whiskey Cavalier is total entertainment!

I love this show and was devastated it was cancelled, hoping another network picks it up. It was a refreshing change from others out there.
We loved this show! It was light hearted and yet suspenseful at times. Different from the other law/cop shows. I am extremely disappointed that this has been cancelled. It was my Wednesday night, fun night…. hope another network picks this up!!!!
Loved loved loved this show. Different from the other cop shows. How 50 different Law and Orders have made it for years, but finally get a good cop show with amazing people and it cancels after 1 season? Makes no sense to me.
