Nickelodeon had a big hit with their Every Witch Way TV show but the cable channel decided to cancel the telenovela series after four seasons. That led to a spin-off series, WITS Academy, but now that show’s been cancelled as well.
WITS Academy follows “Guardian in training” Andi Cruz (Daniela Nieves) at the esteemed school for Witches and Wizards in Training. While trying to live up to expectations, she must get two of the academy’s toughest students to graduate. The rest of the cast includes Julia Antonella, Jailen Bates, Kennedy Lea Slocum, Meg Crosbie, Timothy Colombos, Ryan Cargill, Andrew Ortega, Lidya Jewett, Tyler Perez, Jazzy Williams, and Todd Allen Durkin.
The series debuted last October and ran daily for four weeks. The 20 episodes attracted about 1.3 million viewers and remained pretty consistent. Those numbers weren’t apparently good enough for Nickelodeon to order a second season.
The cable channel has been mum on the cancellation but castmember Durkin has not. He posted a photo from his new series on TBS and responded to follower questions asking if he was shooting season two of WITS.
He wrote, “it’s another TV show I’m doing. Wits was canceled. There is no more Wits.”
Durkin continued, “there’s no way there will be another season at this point. Nickelodeon has decided not to have another season of Wits Academy. It’s the end. Sad but true. Done. … No more Andi, Agamemnon, Cameron… All over. The end. Bye bye.”
So, it turns out that the two-part episode on October 30th will be the last episode of the series. Hopefully, the writers and producers will share how the cliffhangers would have been resolved.

Why did they have to cancel it was such a good show. Every Witch Way was great and they made this which was also good. This show needs to be renewed!

they should have never canceled wits academy because that was a good show and we need it back on air asap
why did they cancel the show…just ruined kids life doing that..every witch way as well…what the heck…bring it back for christmas or something..you cant show kids a new show..have us watch it…get consumed..and then cancel the show….thats just cruel…..

I agree. W.I.T.S Academy was the best Nick show ever! I was the saddest when I read this. I’ve been waiting for months for another season. I read this article and I started bursting into tears. I hated to hear this. The cliffhanger on the last episode was not needed if you were gonna cancel it. 1.3 million views on something should be more than enough if you’re gonna have a new series that ended not long after it began!! Me and more people who love this tv show want it back. Please bring it back. Please!
Why did you guys cancel. In my opinion and many others, this was the best nick tv show ever. Also, if you wanted to cancel it than why did you have to end the episode in a cliffhanger. It’s not too late please make more episodes. As I said before, W.I.T.S. academy is much better than all the new nick tv shows combined. Please.
What no that messed up everyone loves wits academy there has to be a season 3 I paid $25 to watch season 1-2 I am so upset with the producers and how they would just give up the show it breaks the hearts of all the fans out there in the world I think the producers made a horrible decesion to cancel the show you will regret it one day and when that day comes it may be to late so to all the fans out there the keep faith we all beg the producers to have a season 3.… Read more »
I think wits academy should keep going I already finished wizards of waverly place even tho it came out a long time ago and finished every witches way and I just started watching wits academy and it’s already canceled
we should join forces and not watch nick anymore until wits academy has a second season

I think that wits academy should be renewed for a second season because that was my favorite show ever in history
Nick made a really big mistake there are many people in this world that loved this show I only found it a few weeks ago and fell in love with it after one episode and many things can still happen andi can get powers or some one can try to close down the academy but I know for a fact until they get this show back in progress I am never going to watch another nick tv show ever
i think that show had lots of possibilities like how andi could have gained magic accidently due to a failed spell or something anything could have been possible because of what happened at the end
