What’s This TV Show About?
An Amazon Prime Video crime thriller, Absentia stars Stana Katic, Patrick Heusinger, Cara Theobold, Neil Jackson, Angel Bonanni, Richard Brake, Ralph Ineson, Paul Freeman, Bruno Bichir, and Patrick McAuley. The drama centers on the mysterious disappearance and return of FBI Special Agent Emily Byrne. While tracking a notorious Boston serial killer, Emily vanishes. Eventually, she is declared dead — presumed to be a victim of Conrad Harlow. Six years later, she’s discovered in a cabin in the woods, clinging to life. Emily returns home to find her husband remarried, and now she’s a suspect in a new string of murders.
Absentia has been renewed for a second season which will debut June 14, 2019. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless they decide to publicize its viewership, it is hard to predict whether Amazon will cancel or renew Absentia for season two. I don’t have a strong gut feeling on this one, either way. love amazon fire tv stick!!!! i binged commercial free. absentia was exquisitly adapted for a series. i found it much more than the movie a few years previous. the cast performned flawlessly. i am thankful i stumbled upon this suspenseful, dramatic, masterpiece. i await anxiously for the news of a 2nd season. bravo to all invovled!!!!!!

Just browsed and hit “play”. Bingo! Hit the jackpot and now totally hooked. Binge watched 6 episodes and will complete season tonight. Season 2 is a must.
We loved this series – never heard about it, but within 5 minutes, we were hooked. Stayed up all night watching. Absolutely could not leave the story – every cast member just as good as the last and the writers kept us going with twists and turns that were, thank goodness, not juvenile. We actually had to think about this one while enjoying it!! We have already recommended this series to most of our friends. Can’t wait for 2nd season!! C’mon Amazon – don’t disappoint!!

Binge watched season 1 yesterday and I’m so hooked. Please, please, please bring back season 2. Great actors, great thriller. You can’t leave it just ending with her having visions of being the one who murdered Conrad Harlow!!

We loved it. Watched all 10 shows in 24 hours. Talk about binging.
