Eileen is looking for more than just redemption in the first season of the Alaska Daily TV show on ABC. As we all know, Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Alaska Daily is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of Alaska Daily here. *Status Update Below.
An ABC drama series, the Alaska Daily TV show stars Hilary Swank, Jeff Perry, Matt Malloy, Meredith Holzman, Grace Dove, Pablo Castelblanco, Ami Park, and Craig Frank. Eileen Fitzgerald (Swank) is an award-winning investigative journalist and high-powered newspaper reporter in New York. Her reporting methods and abrasive personality are called into question after a high-profile story blows up in her face, and Eileen loses her job. Her former mentor, Stanley Cornik (Perry), approaches her about making a big move, and she goes to work for a struggling downsized Anchorage newspaper, the Daily Alaskan. Grudgingly, Eileen teams up with a young local reporter named Roz Friendly (Dove). Together, they begin investigating the murders of a group of indigenous women. In a new locale, across the country, and in a very different world, Eileen is on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption.

I’m not much of a weekly TV series watcher. But when I walked in the room and started watching Alaska Daily I was immediately hooked on Season 1. It tells a very gripping and significantly important story that the American public needs to be aware of. The acting is superb, every story line evokes emotion, and the end result of good old honest reporting cannot be overstated. This production is an absolute winner in my book. Please start rolling on Season 2, you will not be disappointed by the outcome and ratings!

This is the best new series you’ve had in a long time. I hear there’s doubt about it returning. Some of us are really tired of so-called reality T.V., etc. and we will be streaming more and more if you can’t recognize good programming.
Please renew this show. It’s one of the few thoughtful & relevant shows with excellent acting and plots…and it’s not so loud that I have to keep turning the volume down.

We are real fans of this program. Terrific drama and totally insightful about relations between the Native nations of North America and the European immigrants over the centuries.

Alaska Daily, eye opening and insightful! Characters are real and play well off each other. Each human life is a precious gift, and the show portrays the reality of life in the far North. The last chapter leaves much room for the second season. Looking forward to continuing our viewing pleasure.

My husband just asked me when season 2 is about to start, so you can gather that we are looking forward to it.
This show is realistic as it deals with the importance and real issues regarding missing and murdered indigenous women. It also reflects on the importance of accountability of those in government and that journalists should not be afraid of losing their position by exposing those who are not.
I’ve told many who missed season 1 to be prepared for the next season, so please, please renew Alaska Daily.
This is the best new show of 2022-2023 and our new favorite show. It’s great to see a show that’s not the usual cop or medical show and that’s set in a location we usually don’t see (Alaska). It’s fresh, original, interesting, fun, and addictive. The issue of MMIW (Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women) is also one that I love the show for bringing attention to, as it is an important issue that doesn’t get the coverage it deserves.
