Eileen is looking for more than just redemption in the first season of the Alaska Daily TV show on ABC. As we all know, Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Alaska Daily is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustrated when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we invite you to rate all of the first season episodes of Alaska Daily here. *Status Update Below.
An ABC drama series, the Alaska Daily TV show stars Hilary Swank, Jeff Perry, Matt Malloy, Meredith Holzman, Grace Dove, Pablo Castelblanco, Ami Park, and Craig Frank. Eileen Fitzgerald (Swank) is an award-winning investigative journalist and high-powered newspaper reporter in New York. Her reporting methods and abrasive personality are called into question after a high-profile story blows up in her face, and Eileen loses her job. Her former mentor, Stanley Cornik (Perry), approaches her about making a big move, and she goes to work for a struggling downsized Anchorage newspaper, the Daily Alaskan. Grudgingly, Eileen teams up with a young local reporter named Roz Friendly (Dove). Together, they begin investigating the murders of a group of indigenous women. In a new locale, across the country, and in a very different world, Eileen is on a journey to find both personal and professional redemption.

I love this show. Had stopped watching majority of network TV because it is either reality, ridiculous, or past its prime.
I look forward to watching this every week and really hope you renew.

This is an interesting, well-written show. It tackles some important social issues, not often addressed.

We really enjoy this show. It moves along and has multiple story lines that draw you in. You want to see the characters get to the truth. It brings to light many injustices and shows how these characters persist in getting to the truth. They are all very relatable. They also come across as really liking each other and supporting each other. Keep this one going.

No one will get most facts straight on a location but they should do a better job. Little things like pouring rain in Anchorage rarely happens, the mountains in the background don’t change, a summer night being dark – doesn’t happen, small towns (in the bush) aren’t even close to what’s portrayed, etc. The worst thing of all though is – the politics and prejudice. Alaska doesn’t get anymore hometown, friendly and mostly respectful to each other than most small towns. I love the show, it is well written, acted and the story line is so import. It’s one the most intelligent shows written for TV. Its covering story that is not talked about, and the FBI do not include the stats in their report of missing and exploited. This show should be renewed , but I fear the power that be at network is working to end this show. Very little publicity, Swank and other members of the cast should be on every talk show talking about their show and the issue of missing and murder native america women. But… Read more »

I agree 100%! The first time watching the show ladt fall, I was shocked to see & hear those statistics! I had no clue. Fealt a bit angry a bit embarrassed for is as a nation that more isn’t being done! This show needs to be talked about in the mainstream news & entertainment media much much more! If not for the episodes & actors themselves which are all great but really to get folks watching and make them more aware of the message this show began with & the missing Native American/American Indian/Indigenous American females. I watch very little in the way of prime time TV series, but this one drew me in because of Hillary Swank, who is tremendous, and now I’m hooked. Great series, excellent acting, good plot, and thoughtful, not just another empty-headed exercise in silliness.
Great TV, please don’t drop it.
