This court won’t be back in session during the 2021-22 television season. CBS has cancelled the All Rise legal drama series so we won’t be seeing a third season.
All Rise stars Simone Missick, Wilson Bethel, Marg Helgenberger, Jessica Camacho, J. Alex Brinson, Lindsay Mendez, Ruthie Ann Miles, Lindsay Gort, and Audrey Corsa. The series follows the chaotic, hopeful (and sometimes absurd) world of those who work at a courthouse in Los Angeles. At the center of this drama series is Lola Carmichael (Missick), a recently appointed judge who was previously a highly regarded and impressive deputy district attorney. She depends on the counsel of people like her Deputy District Attorney Mark Callan (Bethel), Supervisory Judge Lisa Benner (Helgenberger), and pragmatic judicial assistant Sherri Kansky (Miles). Lola pushes the boundaries and challenges the expectations of what a judge can be and receives both support and pushback from those around her.
Airing on Monday nights, the second season of All Rise averages a 0.45 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.01 million viewers in the live+same day ratings. Compared to season one, that’s down by 27% in the demo and down by 26% in viewership. It’s one of the lower-rated scripted shows on CBS.
The cancellation follows a number of behind-the-scenes issues — including the departure of creator/showrunner Greg Spottiswood following misconduct allegations.
The de facto series finale will air on May 24th.
What do you think? Do you make a point to watch the All Rise TV series each week? Are you sorry that it’s been cancelled? Would you have tuned in for season three on CBS?
What were you thinking??? Great show, great characters and current storylines. A winning combination. Plug this show back on please!!!
I always watch All Rise. It should be renewed for a mid-year run. Too well acted to cut
I would definitely watch season 3 of All Rise. I always record it so I can watch it and fast forward the commercials. Please do not cancel this show.
I wish All Rise would be allowed a 3rd season!!! Pls re-consider!!!
Yes, I DVR’d All Rise of each of the episodes.
Frustrated to hear about the cancellation!!!
This is maddening. We pay a LOT of money in hopes of being entertained, and maybe being inspired toward thoughtful consideration and interaction. There are so few well written, acted and produced shows that taking one away feels personal. Ratings only include such a narrow sample of consumers that the results are unrealistically skewed. Being over 49 years old, and/or choosing to view a show at a different time, translates to becoming invisible. We are left with reruns of other excellent programs that have been under valued – or cheaply produced, unscripted D- drivel. The dumbing down of our country… Read more »
As I stated above, your comments regarding this show are very well said, and spot on!! Thank you.
Excellent show. I always watch. Am disappointed. CBS needs help overall. Simone is outstanding and I thoroughly enjoyed over may of the other shows.
I’m sorry to see the show canceled. I thoroughly enjoyed season one and most of season two but I think it started off all wrong in season two which put off a lot of viewers.
All Rise, a terrific show. Please do monitor cancel this show.
It is one of the best legal dramas that has been on television for years !! Please revisit the decision to cancel it.
I love this show! Don’t cancel it PLEASE
Loved this show sorry to see it go good story lines
Loved the show didn’t miss an episode. Jessica I am really going to miss you, your character always made me smile.
I love this show and will miss it. I haven’t missed a single episode.
I hope the producers reconsider their decision. All rise is a fantastic series. Never miss it. So many cancellations going on right now we are going to be stuck with a bunch of game shows or nothing. This show had class, respect and took on different aspects of everyday lives. Very disappointed.
I watched this show from the beginning. I will hate to see it cancelled
