What’s This TV Show About?
A co-production of CBC in Canada and the Netflix subscription service, this series is inspired by Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables book series. Anne with an E stars Amybeth McNulty, Geraldine James, R.H. Thomson, Corrine Koslo, Dalila Bela, Aymeric Jett Montaz, Lucas Zumann, Sebastian Lacroix, and Cole MacKenzie. The story follows Anne Shirley (McNulty), an intelligent and fanciful Canadian orphan, who is fostered on Prince Edward Island, by siblings Marilla (James) and Matthew Cuthbert (Thomson). In season three, a milestone birthday sparks a search for Anne’s origin story as she sorts out matters of the heart and starts setting a course for her future.
Anne with an E has been cancelled so there won’t be a fourth season. Could it be revived someday? Stay tuned for further updates.

We already know that the show has been cancelled by Netflix and CBC in Canada so, there won’t be a fourth season, at least for now. There have been rumblings that there’s a remote chance the show could be revived but that seems unlikely. I love the series and am veryy disappointed there will not be a Season 4. I was looking forward to sharing Anne’s future stories of college, her career in teaching, her accomplishments and most of all, whether she and Gilbert get together.
Please bring Anne with an E back! We love this show!!!

I’m a 73 y.o father with 2 adult daughters and 2 granddaughters. Shows like Anne need more attention, more visibility. It has been an important positive influence for me as my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I have spent 3 seasons smiling, laughing, and crying with AmyBeth Mcnulty’s performance. This is an important, upbeat, happy story in a world such as we have in front of us today. Please put quality above stats.

I love this serie, beautifully made, the landscape, the characters, the values it gives, so sad Netflix doesn’t invest for one more season…very sad, we will miss it a lot.
