TV show description:
This comedy series revolves around Judge Rebecca Wright (Kate Walsh) of the Los Angeles County Circuit Court. She’s tough-as-nails and one of LA’s most respected criminal court judges. She has a reputation for unorthodox behavior in the courtroom, including creative rulings and saying exactly what’s on her mind.
Her private life, on the other hand, is anything but innocent and she has a truly wild lifestyle. While there’s no shortage of male admirers who would love to spend time with her, she’s not ready to settle down.
Other characters include bailiff Tedward (Tone Bell), handsome expert witness Gary Boyd (Ryan Hansen), prosecutor Tom Barlow (John Ducey), and Judge Hernandez (Miguel Sandoval), Rebecca’s boss.
Episode #13 — Case Closed
Judge Hernandez informs Rebecca that if she hears three more cases by Thursday, she will break the record as the youngest judge to hear 1,000 cases. She and Tedward leap into action, but the first case involves a series of geriatric witnesses and moves so very, very slowly, Rebecca fears it could jeopardize her chances. In order to guarantee the record, Rebecca snags a shift in night court and skates through two cases in quick succession. The important third case comes to a screeching halt, however, when a fire-breathing magician demonstrates his act and sets off the emergency sprinkler system. The record still stands.
Meanwhile, Tedward urges Gary to buy Rebecca a present in anticipation of her new record. They go shopping together and while Gary struggles to find the right thing for Rebecca, he manages to purchase several cool gifts for Tedward. Although Tedward appreciates each one, it’s not until they both see a remarkably familiar van that they both know what to do.
Back in her courtroom, Rebecca continues with the original, slow-moving case, losing confidence in her ability to finish it before the Thursday deadline. During recess, she agrees to meet up with Michelle, who’s in need of some support after discovering her ex-husband is dating an old high school friend… a friend they both spot at lunch! Rebecca and Michelle confront her, but when the girlfriend dumps a margarita in Michelle’s lap, Rebecca responds with a strong right hook to her face – and finds herself in cuffs for assault.
Tom manages to finagle Rebecca’s release from jail in time to learn that a technicality will postpone Rebecca’s chance at setting the record. That is, until Judge Hernandez hands her a case to cover – a quick and dirty dine-and-dash. Tom, Tedward, Judy and Rebecca work at breakneck speed to complete the case in the final four minutes before the deadline – and Rebecca sets the record!
Afterwards, Judge Hernandez gifts her his lucky bolo tie that he received when he hit 1,000 cases. But Gary and Tedward wow her with their big surprise: an exact replica of her van. Rebecca nearly cries with excitement as she hops in and drives away.
The next day, Rebecca wakes up (with Gary asleep by her side) and starts her day as she always does: in a rush, shockingly late and with a flair unlike any other judge. (Courtesy NBC.)

What do you think? Do you like the Bad Judge TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I love this show. Sorry to see it go
I hope another station picks up bad judge good cast not many comedy’s out there I like and Thursday’s are back to nothing on again. Good thing for DVR’s
Please bring Bad Judge back! The show and cast was awesome! My co-workers loved it too!!!!
Love Bad a Judge! It one of the few shows I look forward to seeing. Please don’t cancel Bad Judge!
There are only a select few shows that we, as senior citizens, love to watch, and BAD JUDGE was our weekly Thursday night feature. Please start a petition or something to get the show renewed. The cast is great and enjoyable, with the entire storyline being equally as fun.
I am so dsappointed that they have canceled! I really liked the show, it was lighthearted and funny! I think part of the issue may have been the time slot on Thursdays! Why did they not try changing the time slot and day to see if they could get more viewers? Please renew the show!!!!!!
I love BAD JUDGE. Please keep it on the air. It was light, funny, and irreverent ! A real hoot! I never missed it.
It was Funny!!! The cast was great!!! I laughed – and that is wonderful!!! BRING the show BACK. WE LOVE IT!
Renew it!!!
I thought this show was going to be dumb but I came across it while channel-surfing, and decided to watch, and lo and behold, I really liked it! It’s smart, funny, and the whole cast is great. So bummed it’s going off. I can’t help but wonder if part (or all) of the problem was that it was marketed to appeal to the lowest common denominator, with the focus mainly on sex. Maybe a lot of other people also thought it would be dumb and just didn’t bother tuning in. Too bad.
I really loved this show! All of the cast complimented each other exceedingly well. I am truly disappointed to hear it is being cancelled. It was nice to finally have a court tv show that was light hearted and funny rather than serious.
Renew it was one of the best shows on
Renewed
I love this show and am so disappointed it has been canceled. It is hilarious and one of the few sitcoms I enjoy watching regularly. I read that a group of women judges in Miami found it offensive. I could not disagree more – as a woman lawyer- I find a portrayal of a professional woman who is confident in herself and her sexuality refreshing. Professional men have been portrayed that way on tv for decades and somehow that’s acceptable. Kudos to Kate Walsh and the rest of the cast on a great series. Just wish more people would have… Read more »
I just came across Bad Judge on On Demand. I ended up doing some serial watching to see the episodes–I thought it was a hoot! So disappointed to hear that it’s probably cancelled. The cast was wonderful, especially Kate Walsh and the guy who played bailiff Tedwin. Of course, the judge would not survive in the real court system, but this is TV! Again, bummer that it won’t continue. Loved seeing Kate Walsh in this funny role.
