Get ready for more of those big Reagan family dinners. CBS has renewed Blue Bloods for a sixth season.
Blue Bloods revolves around the Irish-American Reagan family and their work as part of the NYPD. The cast includes Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Amy Carlson, Sami Gayle, Vanessa Ray, and Marisa Ramirez.
A cornerstone of the CBS schedule on Friday nights, Blue Bloods has been down slightly in season five. The show’s been averaging a 1.29 rating in the 18-49 demographic (down 8%) but is averaging a whopping 11.29 million viewers, consistently making it the most-watched show on network television on Friday nights.

After watching two episodes of Blue Blood, I’ve been hooked watching it. I have seen from Episode One – Episode 5 which I purchased from Amazon. The story line and plot are always interesting. I love the family connection, love and interaction. We should see more of these on TV.
Best cop program ever ! Wouldn’t think of missing an episode. Not to mention the fact that Mr. Selleck is very easy on the eyes, always has been, better looking than on Magnum P.I. looks so good in those 3 piece suits. Not one member of the entire cast that I don’t like, even the boys that play Donnie Walburg’s sons. In fact, in my area there’s a station on Thursdays starting at 11am runs 12 hours. Safe to say, hope it runs another 10 seasons at least. Just hope Donnie, with all his other committments, doesn’t decide to leave.… Read more »

Agree with Carmencita……..I, too, watch re-runs…….Plez renew for 7, 8, 9, however long the cast wants…..a good story line……but I do wish Frank would find a steady love interest!
I hope Blue Bloods will continue for many more seasons. It’s one of the best programs on any network. I like the fact that it’s about a family that’s “real”. I come from a home were my father was a police officer and I see much of my life in this program. I like the fact that no one is afraid to show their faith.
I love the show. I come from a cop family. It brings back good memories. I might live in Florida but my heart will always belong to New York. No one really knows what a cops family goes through. The writers have touched us all. Thank you…
Blue Bloods is an awesome show. It should definitely be a long running series like NCIS.
I love this show! It has all the makings of a great series – action, good writing, good acting, well directed, and it touches an emotional chord every so often. Even in today’s ultra liberal mainstream society, it is ironic how popular the show is due to it’s “old school” politically incorrect storylines. It demonstrates that many in society long for those days when good old family values and sense of duty and honor was something to be applauded and not denegrated.

Blue Bloods should be renewed for the 6th season, 7th, 8th etc. I am a big fan of the show, especially Estes and his role as a Harvard Law grad who became NYPD police officer. It will be interesting to see him promoted to detective in future episodes. I enjoyed the family dinners and how they argue, respect each others point of view and then reconcile. I watch the replays in WGN and ION.
