Tom Selleck is not giving up hope on Blue Bloods. The star of the Friday night drama still feels that CBS will reverse its decision to cancel the long-running series.
Starring Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray, the Blue Bloods series follows a family of law enforcement officers in New York City.
Selleck said the following about the series in a recent interview, per Deadline:
“I will continue to think that CBS will come to their senses. We’re the third-highest scripted show in all of broadcast. We’re winning the night. All the cast wants to come back. And I can tell you this: we aren’t sliding off down a cliff. We’re doing good shows, and still holding our place. So, I don’t know. You tell me!”
Just last week, CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach reiterated the network’s decision to cancel the series and acknowledged the cast’s desire to continue Blue Bloods beyond season 14. She said the following:
“We really want to thank the cast and crew, everyone involved in the show. We absolutely will miss the family dinners. It is important to give show the sendoff it deserves.
We love this cast, we love their passion for the show. All shows have to come to an end. It’s important to us to refresh the schedule. We are going to end the show come December.”

I would definitely watch BLUE BLOODS on a different channel, I do not have streaming capabilities.
For years Blue Bloods have saved CBS’s Friday night line up. Curious what they think will fill its shoes next fall.
what’s the point…. a few extra shows at best…. and sacrificing half the cast to ‘pay’ for those extra shows….. let it go on a high note.
As far as I am concerned this is the best show on TV right now. Someone at CBS need to have their head read for cancelling Blue Bloods. Please rethink this decision.

Blue Bloods has been a family tradition for years. We love that show! Could not believe it when they said it would be cancelled!

I would watch Blue Bloods no matter what channel it was on. Makes no sense to cancel such a successful show. I hope they are back
I am sad but not surprised at CBS’s stupidity. It is typical of the networks though and I am truly sorry to lose one of the last decent network series.
I agree PLEASE keep CSI:VEGAS as well for it was canned and it is an AWESOME TV SHOW TOO !!!!!!!!
Sad the net work cancels a show that has really minimal violence, but great family values (something our country could use right now). Probably bring us more stupid reality shows.

I hope CBS doesn’t cancel Blue Bloods! There is no logical explanation for doing so.
CBS is beyond stupid if they cancel Blue Bloods. It’s the best show out there. I used to think CBS was one of the few networks that weren’t idiots. But they have now joined all of the others since they’ve gone prompt stupid.

Blue Bloods is one of the best shows I have watched. I have been watching it since Season 1 and I hope they DO NOT cancel it. You have an excellent cast and writers. I just don’t understand why they would this show when they have high ratings. Please keep it on CBS and on Fridays.
