The first season of the Bull TV show was a top-five performer for CBS. Now it has a new showrunner and a second season to try to increase its audience even further. Will the ratings rise or fall? Will Bull be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A legal drama inspired by the early career of Doctor Phil McGraw, Bull stars Michael Weatherly, Freddy Rodriguez, Geneva Carr, Jaime Lee Kirchner, Annabelle Attanasio, Christopher Jackson, Dena Tyler, Jill Flint, and Eliza Dushku. The CBS TV series centers on the brash and charming Doctor Jason Bull (Weatherly). In heading the team at his Trial Analysis Corporation, Bull combines psychology, human intuition, and high-tech data to learn what makes jurors, attorneys, witnesses and the accused tick.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/9 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The first season of Bull on CBS averaged a 1.43 rating in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and a total audience of 11.385 million viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Bull TV show? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a third season on CBS?
4/18/18 update: CBS has renewed Bull for a third season which will debut during the 2018-19 broadcast season.
Bull is our favorite tv show so please do not cancel it. Let it stay for another 30 years.
SoOOO happy to see that Cable is returning to TAC!!!!
Great show
My wife and I love the show. It’s way better then all the violence and reality shows that clog the airways .
We don’t usually have any shows we watch regularly, this show we do.
Keep it going….
Absolutely love Bull. The best show in TV. My favorite over NCIS now. Season two has explored the lives of the cast. Michael Weatherly is extraordinary in this role. Can’t wait for season 3!
I like Michael Weatherly in Bull, he brings charm to the show and the supporting characters are great too. I think that the more character-driven plots in Season 2 are a good thing as Season 1 got a little repetitive (there is only so much jury tech that you need to see to get the idea). I agree that it can be unbelievable, but so what if it still manages to entertain you and makes you feel that all is well with the world. I am just waiting for Bull’s no-good Dad to make an appearance and would love to… Read more »
Laughingly unbelievable.
So dumb. This show is hard to watch it’s so formulaic and predictable. Who in the hell is watching this stuff and thinking it’s good? Every line is cringe worthy. The acting is abysmal and the writing it done by children who are unaware of clichés. Please someone tell me otherwise. I feel like I’ve been hit in the head by a steel toe boot when I see an Ad for this show.
We enjoy the show. It’s a welcome change from all the same violent shows on every network. We’re so bored with the same shoot’em up shows.
We all really enjoy Bull, however, this season seems a bit off from last year. I hope it gets back on track.
Where is the cool technology? I’m missing it big time. Off to a mediocre start in 2018. Really enjoyed the tech and the mirror juries….
This show is abysmally bland. Maybe Networks should take risks and make more original programming as opposed to mundane garbage like this. Michael Weatherly is a horrible actor. A 5th grader can predict where the plot is going and the dialogue is cringe worthy. Also a character’s name is chunk….. give me a ******* break. Cancel this ****!
If this show wasn’t following NCIS it’s ratings would be half.
I absolutely love this show! PLEASE keep it on the air for many, many years.
This show is mindless trash. It is the most basic procedural drama. We’ve all seen this exact show and it’s structure played out dozens of times for decades. Literally anything on FX, AMC, HBO, Showtime, Netflix, Hulu, god even TBS is better.
I found this funny everyone love this show right I mean it relatable basely everyone knows one a person or people that went to court and was found not guilty if they were or weren’t.
I like Bull and i hope it will continue
