Will viewers keep coming back for more in the first season of the Call Me Kat TV show on FOX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like Call Me Kat is cancelled or renewed for season two. A FOX multi-camera comedy series, the Call Me Kat TV show is based on the British Miranda series. The U.S. sitcom stars Mayim Bialik, Swoosie Kurtz, Kyla Pratt, Cheyenne Jackson, Leslie Jordan, and Julian Gant. The story follows Kat (Bialik), a woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that she can live a happy and fulfilling life — despite still being single at 39 years old. Kat’s mother, Sheila (Kurtz), views her daughter being single as her own personal failure. After leaving her job as a University of Louisville college professor, Kat spends the money her parents had set aside for her wedding to open a cat café. Working alongside Kat are Randi (Pratt) and Phil (Jordan). As Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans begin to veer off-course. Her former crush and good friend, Max (Jackson), returns to town and takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street and works with his friend, Carter (Gant).

Please boost ratings so funny and good love this show look forward good sitcom not much on these days ever since this past summer. More people worth watching every episode.

This show should be called Call Me Krap because after giving it as much as 4 chances to see if this show would get any better it failed to do so. It’s just annoyingly stupid and the jokes are just lame. There’s nothing funny about this show and it deserves a quick and merciful death.
euthanize it!!!! unfunny, pathetic, arch, silly, boring and for a show set in a cat cafe there isnt a lot of cat action. The setting of a sitcom tends to double as a cast mate…it provides context, background, opportunities for humour and drama, interesting characters to evolve. But I get the feeling someone said, cats are big….they are all over the internet…make it a cat cafe!!! and then discovered too late that cats are not natural performers. Talented performers are being wasted
To call call the series terrible would be kind. A waste of a good cast. Very irritating talking to the 4th wall! Cancel it, put it out of is misery.

I was very disappointed since so many actors in the show were in previous shows I loved. Swoosie Kurtz is hilarious. But this show drove me nuts trying to follow it. The looking at the camera was ridiculous. I won’t waste my time watching it again .Bialik is to over the top, its like she’s trying to hard. Sorry guys we really need some decent comedy.
I am very upset with the way Sheila puts down Puerto Rico on this episode. You could have made her afraid of flying over water. But no you had to make the island my family is from look dangerous and frightening.

Hate that she talks to audience, it takes away from the show. She’s a good actress and the characters are fine , just need different writers , cause the ones they have now suck. This show won’t stand a chance if they don’t change something quick. Love Leslie Jordan, he’s hilarious.
Chuck Lorre dodged a bullet by not being involved with this show. Almost ALL his shows are very funny and I see he has another new show coming out – United States of Al.
Not funny at all. I got through the first episode and figured I would give it a another chance the following week. Only got through half the second episode and couldn’t watch it anymore. It’s not funny and I find it very annoying when she talks to the audience. Good luck with this show.
As an American Galloper, I thought episode 2 was better than ep. 1, so that gives me hope. I just KNOW we will find out that Max is actually married to Brigette, and Kat will find out as she and Max are just about to admit their love or have sex. (sigh) I’d rather see an original story for Kat than a rerun of Miranda because nobody is Ms. Hart. In fact… I lots rather see another season of Gary and Miranda in their married life than a remake. LoL.

This show is NOT original. Go watch Miranda on Hulu. I just finished the Miranda series on PBS. They did everything right, including the 4th wall. The problem with Kat is the terrible laugh track -especially when nothing funny was said. Watch Miranda – it’s fabulous.
Show had very dumb story line and very boring. Speaking to the audience is as pathetic as the show Young Sheldon. It takes away from the idea of a comedy show. Acting was sub-par at most! Hope money was not spent to produce any more episodes! Such a waste of good actors. I will not waste my time watching it again.
Agreed with you Sheldon girlfriend way better comedy than spin-off young Sheldon love him on The Big Bang theory but nothing to compare when little kid. I don’t care for watching that. Call me kat so darn funny boost ratings on Thursday night now at 9pm can’t wait to see it worth watching.
I thought “ Oh Good” maybe a good comedy is coming to T.V. In 2021! So i turned in to watch, what a boring, not at all laughs or funnys. I watched for 20 mins and could not watch for 10 more minutes.Was really hoping it was going to be funny.
