What’s This TV Show About?
A Hallmark Canadian-American drama, the Chesapeake Shores stars Meghan Ory, Jesse Metcalfe, Treat Williams, Diane Ladd, Laci J. Mailey, Emilie Ullerup, Brendan Penny, Andrew Francis, Kayden Magnuson, Abbie Magnuson, Greyston Holt, Carlo Marks, Jessica Sipos, Lanie McAuley, and Barbara Niven. The story centers on career woman Abby O’Brien (Ory), a divorced mother of two young daughters who leaves New York for her hometown of Chesapeake Shores, Maryland, where her first love Trace (Metcalfe) lives.

Telly’s Take
Will Hallmark cancel or renew Chesapeake Shores for season five? There were only six episodes this year but the show remained a pretty good performer for the channel. Based on the numbers, I think it will be renewed but am unsure why there were so few episodes. Could this be an indication that Hallmark is going to end the show or, that it’s an expensive program to produce? I’ll update this page with breaking developments. I totally love this series. It juat a pity that there is just 6 episodes in season 4 and that trace and abby relationship is gone i only start watching it for them. Hope there will be s season 5 very soonkj
It was announced that the did a short season 4 so that a “movie” could be produced to be released this spring 2020 or summer 2020 and yet there is no current press about it since April 2020. I know that the pandemic is changing everything, but since official season 4 ended in Sept. 2019 they would have had time to film before the pandemic if they planned to edit and prepare it for a spring or summer release. Yes it is a great show and we love to watch it
Would like to see Chesspeake Shores return and come to closure if not renewed. It is unfair to leave faithful subscribers to this channel without an ending. Very similar to Cedar Cove. Viewers invest a great deal of time in plot and then are left up in the air. Not a good way to encourage us to keep watching!
Considering how last season ended with so few episodes, it would have been very disappointing not to have closure on the story.

Please bring Chesapeake shores Season 5 back! You can’t just leave it ending the way it did!!! Abby and Trace are made for each other and if they didn’t get together then I wouldn’t want to watch it anymore! The whole series centred on these 2 wonderful characters and they made it what it is! We’ll keep watching as long as there are more series to watch with happy endings!!!
