This documentary series is a follow-up to Carl Sagan’s 1980 television series, Cosmos: A Personal Voyage. Executive produced by Seth MacFarlane and Ann Druyan (Sagan’s widow), this version is hosted by renowned astrophysicist Doctor Neil deGrasse Tyson.
The series follows how humans discovered the laws of nature and found coordinates in space and time. The series brings to life never-before-told stories of the quest for knowledge, transporting viewers to new worlds and across the universe for a vision of the cosmos on the grandest — and the smallest — scale.
Episode #26 — Seven Wonders of the New World
Young Carl Sagan and Neil deGrasse Tyson first discovered their passion for science at the New York World’s Fairs of the past. Visit the dazzling pavilions of the 2039 New York World’s Fair, where problems currently considered intractable may have been solved through public commitment and scientific imagination. A child’s journey comes full circle, presenting a bright future with possibilities in the finale.
First aired: April 4, 2020.
What do you think? Do you like the new Cosmos TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Perhaps Cosmos is the most important TV show ever… It makes people (especially children) interested in science, the most important class of all. It teaches you how to think correctly, how not to make assumptions and how to doubt everything until proven by repeated scientific experiments. It once and for all removes the stupidity of creationism and forces governments to provide real education! It is a shame that all TV stations can think of is ratings… One show of such incredible caliber like Cosmos should have an hour a week no matter what. It is part of bettering the human… Read more »
Cosmos is one of the few shows that inspires viewers and illuminates science for the general public. It is important that this show is renewed!
please dont let it end, please PLEASEEEEEEEEEE
Don’t cancel this show. It is one of the few intelligent shows on TV.
Please don’t cancel this show. It’s incredibly interesting, thought-provoking, educational, and a very refreshing change for modern-day television.
Do not cancel this show. There is plenty of junk on for stupid people to watch. Give the smart people at least one thing to enjoy.
Well said Mr. Harrop.
Should definitely be renewed. The best show on TV.
I love this show. Finally something on TV worth watching! Please renew this show.
This series has been excellent and I’ve enjoyed each episode. Please renew it!
Definitely needs to be renewed.
Why was COSMOS not shown on Fox KTVU, Channel 2, at 9:00 Sunday, 5/24/14???? i tuned in at the usual time only to find two rerun episodes of that insipid “Big Bang Theory” sitcom. What is going on?? Has COSMOS been cancelled? Answers, please.
Love this show! Please keep it going. We need more shows like this that invoke curiosity about the world we live in & may wake up young minds.
I don’t care if it’s only supposed to be on for a limited time…I WANT MORE! It’s the best show on TV!
Do NOT cancel. One of the best shows on all of TV. Told in a way that all viewers can get interested and understand. It will probably be cancelled as it may be too sophisticated for some people making the decisions. Not enough off color jokes…or attempts at being funny…for the network decision makers. It’s a good thing that the network heads that support “Two Broke Girls” aren’t evaluating Fox’s Sunday 9:00 entry ! RENEW for as many years as there are questions about our past and future.
Live this show! Do not cancel!!!! We can’t watch it Sunday nights so we DVR it and watch it multiple times throughout the week. It’s a great family show. We all love it! Please renew!!!!
