What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FOX television network, The Exorcist stars Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, Kurt Egyiawan, Zuleikha Robinson, John Cho, Brianna Hildebrand, and Li Jun Li. Christopher Cousins and Cyrus Arnold are recurring, this season. The horror drama is based on the 1973 feature film and William Peter Blatty’s 1971 novel of the same name. In the second season, Father Bennett (Egyiawan) sets out to uncover evil at the Vatican, while Marcus Keane (Daniels) and Father Tomas Ortega (Herrera) set off to assist troubled foster children, in the Pacific Northwest.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Exorcist averaged a 0.42 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.32 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 39% and down by 31%, respectively. Find out how The Exorcist stacks up against the other FOX TV shows.

Telly’s Take
This show premiered with much lower numbers than last year and the ratings then dropped even lower. The numbers are terrible, even for a Friday show. I think that it will be cancelled but then, the ratings were awful last year too. Going just by the numbers, the second season is a Nielsen miracle. I’m no longer letting this series whet my highly excitable appetite. Instead, I’ll keep a hungry (but jaded) eye on the ratings and update this page with breaking developments. I find this show remarkably good for a TV series….particularly fond of metaphysical thrillers, I was happy to see the quality (production, writing, acting…) maintained, and feel that it would be a real shame not to renew. I vote to RENEW! Please! So important to have at least a few shows like this on the air, particularly considering our current world situation and how critical it is, now more than ever, to have people reminded about the constant fight between good and evil, and reminded that developing discernment is a must. Please DO NOT CANCEL THIS series!!! I think it is well acted, good plot lines and most of all LOYAL VIEWERS who are tired of having their shows (like Grimm) just taken off the air despite all of us pulling for our shows to have a decent ending,proper closure.
I would be disappointed if the show doesn’t come back.
This show is freakin’ awesome! There is no reason for such low ratings, except that FOX isn’t marketing the show as it should. It’s all the fault of FOX, not the show, itself.
I really hope they bring it back for another plus more it is one if my favorite shows they always get rid if all the good ones please not this one love it

The writers for this show are super talented! The second season was even better than the first. I was on the edge of my seat with each episode and I am a certified supernatural, scary show enthusiast. Do not cancel this show!
My family and myself absolutely love this show please dont leave people with questions. I hope it’ll continue because right now the biggest question is: Will the exorcist win this battle or will darkness win the battle and finally get thomas on their side? So i hope you continue with the exorcist.
This is an exceptionally well-written, acted, and all-consuming show! Please see it through to its proper end … as many seasons as that may take!
