Nothing but bad luck for this family. ABC has cancelled their freshman drama The Family, TVLine reports.
The drama centers on the Warren family, whose youngest member returns after mysteriously disappearing 10 years prior. The cast includes Joan Allen, Rupert Graves, Alison Pill, Zach Gilford, and Liam James.
The series premiered to decent ratings, but they have dropped steadily over the course of its first season. The Family began with a 1.48 in the 18-49 demo and currently holds an average of .83 in the 18-49 demo and 3.276 million viewers.
The season one and series finale airs on May 15th.

this was a great show! One of the best on TV. I really hope that some other network picks it up. It had great acting & great story line.
Please give us a conclusion to this show !!! When ABC went ahead a couple of years ago and cancelled Zero Hour after only 2 or 3 episodes many of us were outraged – then ABC came through and showed the 12 episodes it was supposed to show throughout the summer – and we finally got the conclusion to that great show. Same thing should happen here with The Family – if not an entire season then at least a 2 hour special or something to give us closure. It’s not right to do this to the loyal watchers.

Oh my god nooooo. We love this show. People I work with we all discuss it after every episode My husband and I rank it up there with blacklist and scandal. Why take great shows off and fill these Channels with all the same kind of shows. All medical or all ncis..

Very sad to see ANOTHER good show being cancelled by ABC. Wondering who is making these decisions over there, first Nashville and now this?? Questionable to say the least
So upset The Family is being cancelled. I think it’s the best show out there. It’s so unique with so many twists. I watch it on Cable On Demand since the air time is not good for me. Wonder if the On Demand gets considered as does DVR in the ratings? There/s only six shows I watch, Modern Family, The Middle, 20/20, Shark Tank, Grey’s Anatomy and The Family, with The Family being my favorite. ABC and a you can’t cancel this! It’s too good!
